The Crown OKC & The Crown Room

Let me preface this review by saying the food is amazing! Chef Eric's creations are absolutely fabulous! We have eaten here many times, and never experienced service that was this bad! The service we received tonight was horrible! First of all, we arrived on time for our reservation, but waited over 25 minutes for our table. We were okay with that given it's NYE, and crap happens. We enjoyed our time at the bar while we waited. But once we sat down, the server/manager completely ignored us. We sat for over 20 minutes with no drinks and no service. When he FINALLY showed up, I had to ask him what the specials were for the evening, he never said anything about it, just asked "so what do you want?". But I noticed he was very attentive with everyone else except us. I have to wonder why?? Our food and drinks were delayed, delayed and delayed. Literally waited over 20 minutes for a drink. I can understand that on NYE usually things are slow but not that slow! Also, I have to say that when there are ONLY 7 tables in the whole restaurant, the delay and being ignored is very noticeable and unreasonable.
Chef Eric is amazing, but perhaps Michael needs to have some lessons in how to be a good server and just common courtesy for the customers. Having said all that our meal (as always) was great, LOVE the food.

Good place to eat, not great. We went for 37 anniversary hoping to have a special, fine dining experience. Tables are close and one loud table ruined the whole ambiance for everyone. Staff was great, very attentive. We had the. Chefs decision. The chef brought out surprise dishes. A very neat ideawwHe was lovely and used creative ingredients. I can't put my finger on it, nor could my husband but the taste wasn't special. I don't think we'll go back.

We had a wonderful time. We had the 3 course tasting with drink pairing. I loved that the chef came out and talked with us. My partner is vegan and I am not and the chef accommodated us both with fantastic dishes. We will definitely be back soon.

Chef Eric was great - I have a gluten allergy and went with the three course chef choice and it was amazing! We added in the cocktail option and they were wonderful, highly recommend- just need a gluten free dessert option!

Really like this place, but for some reason we were the only party on a Saturday from 5 to 6pm. Great vibe, but kinda random location. Hoping they make it, nice owner and unique dishes.

Disappointed. The food is always great at The Crown. However, the last visit was disappointing. Despite having a reservation, some large groups lagged, and we never got a table. Service at the bar was fine, but not what we expected (or wanted) when planning our night out.

Fresh, eclectic, & fun. We opted for the chef's tasting menu and everything was cooked perfectly. The music was soft and subtle jazz—wonderful! The dining room décor exotic and fun. The service excellent. I can't emphasize enough how well the fish was cooked. Another fine restaurant to impress your visitors to Oklahoma City and the southern Great Plains. A new favorite for those fortunate enough to live here. Thank you!

There was an issue with our reservations for some reason. The hostess seemed confused & nervous when greeting us. For the price, I expected the food to be spectacular. It just did not meet our expectations for the price. However, the Lychee martini was amazing & our server was great. Sushi was “okay”. We had the Crown roll, I had the Platter, & my husband’s entree PACHINKOPADTHAI with chicken. His noodles & chicken were very dry. The Platter was definitely not worth the price for the size of the 4 pieces you get.

I was only there for a ladies happy hour but the service was fantastic and the bluberry - lavender club special was a real treat.

We were so pleasantly delighted and surprised by our dinner at The Crown. From the moment we walked in, we felt like it was a special experience. The food was outstanding — so creative and delicious, and the service was excellent. We will go back next week. Highly recommend the palo santo-smoked mezcal cocktail and their old fashioned was fantastic.

We had a lovely meal in this interesting place. They describe their food as Latin Asian fusion. The food was amazing, and there were so many things that looked good. The sea bass two ways was fabulous. There were sushi rolls on the tables round us that looked tasty. We were planning on skipping dessert, but decided to try the peanut butter milkshake. With peanut butter whisky, it was so good that we started a trend, and people around us were ordering it. We will definitely be back to try a tasting menu.

The sampler appetizer was so good as well as the sashimi sampler. We got the gilmer girl roll which was amazing probably the best roll I personally have ever had in Oklahoma. The only complaint on food would be the entree we got which ended up just consisting of a huge amount of fried rice with a small about of lobster and a few shrimp, on the menu it states it's a stir fry but it really was lacking.

Atmosphere and service was great but the food was not. We tried several things and it just wasn't good. Pretty pricey for avg to below average ‘taste’ and the drinks were weak for the premium price. Won’t be going back.
