I just happened to arrive into town, after driving in from Kansas City, and gave Waffle House a visit. It's been a long time.
I guess they close the dining room at some point in the evening, and from that point, orders are taken at a walk-up window. The lady at the window was friendly but no nonsense type. I get the feeling she catches all of the night riff-raff and has adjusted accordingly. She asked me what condiments I needed and offered some suggestions, too.
The cook was making it happen, and the food came out pretty good. The sausage patties were kind of odd, but I think it's a product issue and not a grille man issue. My food was ready within 7 minutes and I took it back to the hotel.
Opening the bag, I saw everything I asked for was supplied and properly packaged. The food was good... no complaints. I would come back here if I happened to have a taste for Waffle House and was in the area. I can definitely recommend this location to others - even if it appears to be in a dilapidated part of town.“

“Crystal and the crew this morning were professional and incredibly friendly. We had waffles, burgers, chicken and cheese steak hash brown bowls, and left full and happy. The staff worked really efficiently through a small late morning rush and Crystal was sweet and took the time to make us feel welcome, talking to all of our kids.“
“Not my favorite restaurant, but it’s not bad. The server was very nice and friendly. The food was not bad. It’s not about the experience that you get when you visit Waffle House. I would recommend that everyone visit once in their life. It is interesting having the seating so close to the kitchen. This particular location is a nicer Waffle House.“
“By far the best Waffle House I have ever eaten at. The chef as well as our server were the most polite and friendly people that I have been served by for about as long as I can remember. The banter between the staff in the restaurant gave us something enjoyable and interesting to listen to as we waited a very short time for our food and while we ate. The server even held off on my waffle and brought it out when I had finished my eggs and hash so the waffle wouldn't get cold. Excellent service! Awesome experience!“
“The employees at this Waffle House are fantastic. We always get great service and delicious food. The restaurant is always clean. The air conditioner works VERY well.
Unfortunately, this is one of the Metro locations that closes the inside of the restaurant at night and you have to order from the to-go window.“
