Chips and salsa were delicious, which is one of the best ways to judge a good Mexican restaurant in my opinion.
The shrimp chimichanga was awesome and they actually cut the shrimp up into little pieces instead of just whole pieces of shrimp. That was a very nice attention to detail. I sampled from everybody's plate and everything I ate was hot and delicious and I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Moved here not long ago. We have gone twice now and plan on making this a regular place to dine. Great size portions and the food was excellent. Service was awesome and the atmosphere is wonderful and clean.

LOS PORTALES is a traditional Mexican restaurant, likely the best in Blackwell, Oklahoma. It offers good food and good flavors. The ambiance includes high ceilings, good decor, and private booths, creating an upscale dining experience. Service is fast and attentive, with free chips and salsa. Menu items include shrimp tacos, nachos, a kids burger with onions, lettuce, and tomatoes, and grilled veggies enchiladas. The food is authentic, excellent, and worth the price. The restaurant is in a nice location, though Friday nights are busy as the whole town stops by.
