“I’m from California where authentic Mexican food is on every corner and hard to find legitimate mexican food out in this part of the country but this truck has it. Never disappointed and I hit this truck every time I’m out this way.”
“Uhhhhhh-mazing! I’ve been craving tacos and for whatever reason I forgot how good this place was! $11 and I’m full. The tacos are like stuffed to the very top which is amazing. Taco Bell could neverrrr. The girl working was sweet too! Only complaint is I wish they had cheese quesadillas? but love love love this place!”
“Love the blast from the past atmosphere. One of the top 3 steaks I've had in the past 10 years. Decent wine list, very fair price for tbone steak. Will be back.”
“Every time we visit family in Ponca City, we eat at El Patio, at least once! The service is excellent. It seems to be always crowded and the food is okay. I don't care for the salsa. I guess it's popular in Ponca because there isn't much else to choose from.Parking: It can be a little tight getting in and out of the one-way loop parking”
“Very good place to fly in and have some good food. Chips are like.corn tortilla puffs and are very good. We also got a large white queso and was suprised with how good it was as well. Recommend the drive or flying in for lunch or dinner.”
“Went to a business presentation that was interesting, but the room was a bit cold and crowded. However, both the wife and I had the country fried steak. She had a baked potatoe and green beans, and I had coleslaw and green beans. We consider the steaks to be the best in town, very tender, crunchy coating, and tender enough to cut with just a fork, covered in a rich white gravy. REALLY enjoyed the meal, and the waitstaff was very attentive”
“The food was hands down off wall awesome they have an onion burger that was delicious, and their Cherry Lime Aids really hit the spot after my tournament. Their server Addisyn was an absolute sweetheart with great attention to detail. I would give more stars if I would so if you're in town and want some delicious Home cooking feel food then I say head here.”
“I was in Ponca City, Oklahoma on a film project and I stumbled on this burger joint and I had to check it out. Jim's Jumbo Burger is this tiny spot on the corner and is take out only from a single window. It's only open a few hours a day and looks like it's been there, in the same exact spot since before Teddy Ruxpins existed. Exactly my kind of burger joint for lunch when on the road!!!! I grabbed a double cheese burger with bacon and jalapeños and a side of onion rings. I am team mustard so I got yellow bliss added to my buns and I asked for the lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickle be spared as I had to eat on the fly. I really wish I'd have got it tho!!! The burger didn't need it, but I would have preferred it. So this burger was so freaking good!! Patties had this beef flavor that just kicked my taste buds with a tire iron in the best way possible. Then I had bacon stop by and say hi while slapping me a jalapeño kiss . It was hard to keep my truck between the mustard and mayonnaise stripes!! This was an emotional cheeseburger experience!! My onion rings were solid and delicious but for my preference a little too greasy. I'd eat them again but would opt to try the fries if I make it back up that way again!!! Im so glad I stopped in!!! Service was great and the two folks inside were so friendly!!! They showed me what Oklahoma is all about with their kindness in taking my order and getting it out quickly!!!! Cheers y'all!!!!”
“This place is an all-time favorite! My husband and I love coming here and even though we don’t get the chance to go very often, the staff always treats us like family every time we walk through the door. The beer is the best! My husband loves their “From Prussia with Love” stout, while I’m a big fan of “Funky Blume.” You can even find a selection of their beers at Homeland. Check them out! You won’t regret it!”
“We have yet to have a bad experience at Freddy's, the food is a little expensive for fast food, however that's the world we live in today. I absolutely love the steak burgers though, it beats the nasty burgers that seem to be at every fast food place nowadays. In my opinion they have the best fries in town ?”
“Great place to grab a beer and pretend ur in Mexico! Owners are polite, service is great and food is good. IMO the best Mexican restaurant in Ponca City. Definitely recommend if ur from out of ”
“It was very much dead when we got there. We thought it was closed, no one there. We checked and yes it was open. Glad we checked! Nothing to complain about, all around good!”
“Expectations are a funny thing. It's possible that the enthusiastic recommendation of a Ponca City local may have set expectations too high. They went even higher when we saw the fancier BBQ place that's literally next door - surely Danny's must be AMAZING to stay in business with so much nearby competition!Well, tastes are individual and local, so I wouldn't tell any Danny's fan that they're wrong. To us, it was just a good meal. But it was pretty cool to see how a place that looks fairly plain and small on the outside is big and nice on the inside.”
“I've been eating takeout lunch here for YEARS. It's always good and the service is FAST. Nice folks too. I just wish they still had the Mac & Cheese Bowl available.”
“Food was amazing!! Home cooking at its finest. The prices were awesome! Our waitress Kera was kind and attentive. She really took the time to answer all of our questions. Will most definitely be back!!”
