Sushi Bars in Ponca City, OK

“I’m being a little overly positive based off the location, but also because this place deserves a score closer to a 4.5. For a small town, you can’t ask for better sushi at this price. I won’t claim that this is the best I’ve ever had, but their regular rolls (Salmon, Tuna(regular and spicy), and Yellowfin) consistently hit the spot. The other meals/combos are always good and have fantastic value. I’m a big fan of Memories of Japan for similar reasons in Broken Arrow, and this place deserves the same love that gets. The service here though, is much better, with an atmosphere that’s a little nicer than your typical Ponca spot. Highly Recommend!

(Edit) Looking at the review below, they certainly do use Tempura on their shrimp. It is a little different than some tempura shrimp I’ve had before, but the texture shows it’s being battered a different way. It still is good, even if not spectacular. Based on that review though, I can see that nothing was ever going to be ‘perfect’. Don’t let that overly negative review sway you from giving this a shot.“
