Mexican Restaurants in Stilwell

“Great Specials today. Sopes for me and Mexican Flag Enchiladas (Red, White and Green) for my wife.It is a very typical small town Mexican restaurant. A menu that covers every imaginable Mexican food combination. It is oriented more towards traditional than OkieMex. Salsas were fair, service good with the exception of the manager. He seemed a little grumpy and obviously distracted by something outside, kept looking out the front door like he was trying to catch someone. Perhaps the perp that broke his window.Sopes: three fresh fried crispy corn cakes, smeared with a little refried beans to anchor the good steak slices, that topped off with lettuce tomato and sour cream. Very filling, two was enough. A deliciously seasoned bowl of Charro beans accompanied the meal. My wife’s chicken, beef and cheese enchiladas were covered with the flavorful, colorful sauces. You will need the salsa picante to kick the flavor and heat up a little.Good food, the waiters were friendly and attentive. A recommended restaurant. “This restaurant is the perfect example of why we don't judge a book by its cover. We found it on a Google search and thought it sounded good. I didn't want to eat here after seeing the outside; the building is pretty sketchy and needless to say I was skeptical. We were seated immediately and the interior is traditional Mexican restaurant. Good music, brightly colored tables, and everything was clean and welcoming. The salsa is chunky with a good, mild flavor, and the staff were all very friendly and efficient. They have a large menu full of options and everything we had tasted great. The food was brought out quickly. The chimichanga with shredded chicken was stuffed, as were the fajita tacos. I do wish they put cheese on their fajita tacos, and the beans that both my husband and I got were cold, but everything tasted great and the serving sizes are big. Give this place a chance--I think you'll love it!“
