“This is by far the best breakfast in town. Our waitress,Adelina, was very polite and attentive. When she brought our drinks to the table she asked if we were ready to order. We told her that it was our first time dining there. After we ordered our breakfast another employee bought a huge cinnamon roll to our table. I told him that we didn't order it. As he was walking away our waitress took it from him and placed it on our table. A welcome roll on the house.“

Now, onto the food!

I ordered the corned beef hash with sourdough toast and avocado on the side—and WOW, this dish delivered! The chopped potatoes were perfectly balanced with tender corned beef, and the toast was crispy on one side and warm and buttery on the other -- just right! Oh, and the hollandaise sauce? Amazing. Smooth, rich, and flavorful, with just the right little kick—it elevated every bite!

My wife went for the steak and eggs (poached, of course), and it was cooked to perfection. The steak was tender and flavorful, and her poached eggs were exactly what you'd hope for—delicate whites with velvety yolks. She loved the hollandaise sauce just as much as I did, adding it to just about everything on her plate.

Our younger son was all about those Mickey Mouse pancakes with whipped cream, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, and sausage links. The pancake was fluffy and golden, and the whipped cream made it a total kid-pleaser. He gave it two sticky thumbs up!

Meanwhile, our older son went straight for the chicken and waffles. The waffle was light and airy, the fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, and together, they hit that perfect sweet-and-savory combo. He cleaned his plate in record time—always a good sign!

Our son's friend kept it classic with a chocolate chip waffle, scrambled eggs, and bacon. That waffle? Loaded with melty chocolate chips and just the right amount of sweetness. Add the crispy bacon and fluffy eggs, and you've got yourself a solid breakfast winner.

And did I mention the portions? Generous across the board!

All in all, EGGcellent & Things Cafe really lived up to its name. Cozy vibes, fantastic food, and stellar service. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we might just order extra hollandaise!

Severely dissatisfied in the quality of the steaks we received tonight. We took some friends out for dinner tonight and it was unanimous that the steak quality was seriously diminished from our previous several experiences. I had heard that there was new management; unsure if this would be the reason, the USDA grade of steak has been decreased. The cook was perfect but when your steak is as tough as a boot, it’s hard to enjoy. 3 out of 9 plates were served as ordered this visit, (majority had no substitutions) there has never been an issue in the past with this either. It’s hard to write this review when all the times I have been there have been superior quality. I hope our next visit will be redemption“

“Wonderful place to catch up with friends since it’s quiet and provided excellent service and tasty food and drinks! My friends have Celiac so they are always looking for restaurants that offer Gluten Free dishes and this place was perfect for them! Lots of Gluten free options! The GF fried chicken was delicious as was the GF Roasted Red Pepper salad!

You can make reservations online which is very handy! Parking is behind the restaurant and if the lot is full, they offer complimentary valet parking or you can park behind the Lululemon store across the street.“

“Friendly staff, that's interested in your order. Good hot food, and standard round tables and chairs. Sit down have a Coney with everything (chili,cheese, mustard, onion). I really enjoyed the food. The chili is a bit runny but it tastes like chili instead of clove and cinnamon.

Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot runs into the sidewalk, with no curb. The front door has a simple threshold. The tables are standard with easily moved chairs.“

“It’s this cute little joint on 11th Street in the old Route 66 district. You order from an old-school Shasta trailer, which is already a vibe, and then you get hit with some of the best fried chicken you’ll ever put in your mouth. We got the regular fried chicken and the tenders — both original and spicy — and every single bite was amazing. Lightly breaded, super flavorful, not greasy at all. Basically, if chicken had a red carpet moment, this would be it. And then the mac and cheese happened. I’m still thinking about it. Creamy, cheesy, pure comfort. I actually said out loud, “This might be the best mac and cheese of my life,” and I stand by that dramatic statement. The roll and butter? Also stupid good. Like, why is the bread this good? The place is small but had plenty of seating, super chill vibes, and honestly, I already want to go back. If you live in Tulsa or you’re just passing through, go eat here. “My family was in Tulsa Christmas eve weekend. We came to see the Rhema Christmas lights on Friday and the gathering place park on Saturday (both amazing!). On our way out of town we needed to eat lunch before we drove back the KC, MO. I just did a Google search best restaurants near us. We enjoy finding places we have never been before and hopefully non chains while on road trips. Upon searching through a few the high amount of reviews along with the high amount of positive reviews took me to search the website. I was instantly intrigued by the menu and fresh cut fries always catches my eye! So we decided to go to the brook! We were NOT disappointed at all! First cute neighborhood lots of neat shops etc and the building looked cool. The workers were very nice and although busy were attentive. We started with queso and chips and after eating almost all of the queso were offered a 2nd cup for free! I ordered the ground beef taco wrap with fries, my husband got a SW chicken wrap with mashed potatoes and my son got Mac n cheese. No one was disappointed. The fries, mashed pot and Mc n cheese were all frsh and definitely homeade. my taco burrito was delicious and very big..enough for a 2nd meal the next day. My husband's was the same! My son loved his Mac! I would give this place 10 stars if I could!“
