First timer and this place is a hidden gem. They’re so welcoming and it’s giving the perfect mom and pop shop vibes. We got an Alan and an Italian and were blown away by both. We will be back!

IMO, a sandwich shop should have bologna. That being said, my sandwich tasted great. A little pricey for the size. It was a little dark in the restaurant, and definitely lacked sufficient seating.
The owner came over and had a good conversation with us, and was very friendly. I recommend trying at least once. But, unfortunately, prices would need to come down to make it a regular stop.

Jay’s Original Hoagies isn’t just a sandwich shop—it’s Tulsa’s happy place in hoagie form. The bread is soft inside with a perfect crust, the meats and cheeses are stacked like a masterpiece, and every bite tastes fresh and full of care.
Jay, the owner, pours his heart into every sandwich, and Rob, his right-hand man, delivers them with precision and pride. They never forget a face—walk in once and you’re greeted like an old friend.
The atmosphere is bright, warm, and full of life. On any given day, you’ll see families enjoying lunch, police officers grabbing a bite, and runners refueling after a workout. Everyone fits in here, and nobody leaves hungry.
If you’re in Tulsa and skip Jay’s, you’re missing out on more than just a sandwich—you’re missing out on a community wrapped in fresh bread.
Final verdict: Jay makes the sandwiches, Rob makes them perfect, and together they’ll ruin you for any other deli in town—in the best possible way.

Jay’s Hoagies is hands down one of the best sandwich spots in Tulsa! The service is always top-notch—fast, friendly, and full of that local charm you can’t fake. You walk in and feel like family.
A huge shoutout to Jay for his continued support of Union Schools. It’s clear he’s not just running a business—he’s building community, and we’re lucky to have him.
If you go (and you should), don’t leave without trying the Italian Special served Jay’s way. It’s the perfect combo of flavor, freshness, and just the right amount of attitude. You won’t regret it.
Thanks again, Jay—keep up the amazing work! 👏🥪🔥

The best sandwich I've ever had! Chicken Salad with banana peppers, ghost pepper cheese & special habenero sauce...it's got some kick, but damn it's great.

I am absolutely blown away by this unassuming little shop. We tried the Italian Special and the Flying Pig. The Flying Pig was really good, but the Italian Special blew my mind. This would not be out of place in Philly or NYC. It's a must. They nailed the bread.
