I got the almond croissant and the half sandwich (turkey melt) half salad. The salad was probably the best part. The almond croissant was alright, but very dry and cakey rather than buttery and flakey like how I prefer a croissant to be. The filling was underwhelming, a very dense icing consistency with heavy almond extract flavor. The croissant itself without the filling had no flavor. The turkey melt surprised me, it was nice and warm and flavorful, but had too much bread and not enough meat and veggies. It was overloaded with mayonnaise based sauce, but the toast was pretty good - just tasted like a basic white bread and was easy to chew. I wish I had ordered a couple more things to try, I’d love to give this place another shot, I’m sure that their cakes are delicious and light. The atmosphere was accommodating, with napkins and water and other things that were easy to locate. The restroom had a baby changing station with wipes and air spray, and there was plenty of naturally lit seating. I tried the croissant again after eating my other food (minus the breading) and it tasted worse the second time, considering I was no longer hungry.

I go to Ludger’s periodically for their Chicken Salad Sandwich. It’s wonderful. Different than anyone else’s I’ve tried. The red peppers and spices they use really add to the flavor. I also buy baked goods and coffee drinks there. All great, along with wonderful service.
I want to respond to April Aguilar’s review blaming the restaurant for her husband’s reaction to almonds in the chicken salad. I too have a food allergy. So, I understand it is MY responsibility to check ingredients in food I order. Ludger’s clearly states on the menu that the salad contains almonds. Always has. Even has a notice that it contains nuts. It is not their fault her husband consumed food he shouldn’t have. You take responsibility for your own actions and for checking regarding special dietary restrictions. Don’t blame others when you do not do this. The restaurant didn’t deserve the review she gave it. In my experience, they have always cared about their customers.

I highly recommend Ludger's for your wedding cake! They made my vision come to life perfectly! I love cherries so I got chocolate cake with cherry filling and wanted vintage icing with cherry accents! They definitely delivered!! We got so many compliments on our cake and how delicious it was! Definitely one of my favorite parts of our wedding.

We bought an in-stock birthday cake. I understand Bavarian cakes have more cream but this cake had way too much cream. Cream on top, sides and a thick layer in between 2 layers of cake. Quality ingredients and taste, just too much cream. Also, the cream is not the cheap, excessively sugary and oily cream/frosting you find on local grocery store bought cakes. I have had cakes in Bavaria and they have never had this much cream.

We ordered a cake and 160 cupcakes for my wedding and they were beyond what I could have ever imagined. They were so incredibly beautiful. The cake was perfectly moist and just the right amount of sweet. We got so many complements on the cupcakes from guests. I will absolutely be ordering more cakes in the future.

I have so many great things to say, I don't know where to start. I found your bakery from a friend who lives in Tulsa. I was planning a 90th Birthday celebration for my mother who lives in Muskogee, OK. (I live in Atlanta GA). I found Ludger's because a Muskogee bakery messed up my order, and provided terrible customer service, and wouldn't correct themselves. From the start, every person I encountered on the phone at Ludger's were extremely professional, polite and very attentive. I placed an order for a Chocolate Raspberry filled cake. The day before the event, I called to make sure the order would be ready, but also, I needed to pick up the cake a few hours early. They said "no problem" and that they'd have it ready when needed. I realized I needed more bakery items (because we had more RSVP for the event) and I needed to order cupcakes (to fill the need of the added guests). The person I spoke to gave me a delicious description of all the special varieties they had for the month. When they got to the Strawberry Champagne cupcakes... I knew I had a winner! So needless to say, the next day, we drove from the airport (flew in from Atlanta for the weekend) straight to the bakery... We only had a limited time for lunch...but the bakery looked so clean and inviting, we decided to have lunch there. Well...as expected, the service was beyond what we had expected for a sandwich shop, and the food we ordered was delicious. We picked up the cake and cupcakes to take with us... (but we got 4 Strawberry-Champagne to go!) OMG...those cupcakes were the best I've EVER had...I can't explain the flavors...but they were amazing (and I typically don't like sweets that much). The next day we hosted the surprise party, and the cake was absolutely beautiful with the silver metallic frosting on the dark chocolate frosting... All the guests were amazed at how moist, beautiful and delicious the cake was... I can't thank Ludger's Bavarian Bakery enough. You EXCEEDED my expectations (which are pretty high)... and the customer service was amazing. Bravo. Mind-blown-great customer service. Other bakeries (as well as other sandwich shops) should take note, and dine there to take notes on how to provide exceptional service. I just wished they had an annex-shop in Atlanta. Honestly the food is good, but some of the staff are pretty rude. Got my order wrong twice. (Was just a basic order didn’t change anything or order anything special) Older lady made us feel like a hindrance when we told them the order was wrong was very rude when she brought it back correctly. Probably wouldn’t come back because of that. Customer service is important.
