Food was very flavorful. Good soul food
Stopped in for Soul-food Sunday and it was amazing. We had the fried catfish, greens, mac n cheese and yams. Some of the best catfish I’ve had in a long time and the sides were good. Chris and his crew are always friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. Will be back soon
We were in town for the weekend, did a Google search and found My Mommas House. The people were so friendly and attentive. We were not sure what to order so they gave us a little taste. We were sold! The meatloaf was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. The Mac and cheese and the yams, smack! I don't eat pork (which is in the greens) so they made me a side of cabbage that was fire! Momma personally came a delivered it to the table. If ever in town again I'm definitely coming back!
My Momma's House is a hidden gem serving up amazing soul food, now with a new location in the Boxyard downtown. The catfish is a must-try, perfectly seasoned and fresh, especially with the homemade tartar sauce. Don't miss out on the delicious Gumbo, Catfish Strips, OG Soul Roll, and Buttermilk Pie. The Italian creme cake is a delightful treat to end your meal. Parking might be a challenge, but the food makes it all worth it. The long wait is quickly forgotten once you taste the mouthwatering dishes like macaroni and cheese, greens, yams, and banana pudding. The homemade fries are super special, and the pork chop dinners are hands down 10/10. A true taste of love and family in every bite, with the nicest staff and a hardworking team that puts love into their work. Catch a conversation with Momma Gwen and be considered blessed!
