Oklahoma Joe's Barbecue & Catering - South Tulsa

I loved the Burnt Ends and Mac and Cheese plate from the bar menu. It was a very big space, not very cozy but kind of loud. You’re not sure what to do when you walk in, be seated, wait to be seated? Turns out there is an area in the back to walk up and place your order and there was nobody to direct us. So felt lost at first. The gentleman that took our order was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different meats and how they are cooked. He let us sample the burnt ends and told us how they smoke them. They are amazing! So much flavor!!! We wanted a beer and to my disappointment, no Bud or Bud Light!?!? I ordered a PBR Lite, never had one, it was a draw, which I love, but I found out that I do might like PBR LOL! It was not very cold so that helped not liking it. The price was outrageous! 2 beers, 1 dinner and 1 bar menu, smaller portion dinner…a whopping, $55, not including Tip! It was good, the portions were good, but still not worth 60 bucks. All in all, I loved the food, not the price so much🤷🏼‍♀️

First time coming and got a big bbq brisket. Potato, it was huge! (And delicious) my husband got the rib special with 2 sides, we had a whole box of food to take home, reasonably priced. They have daily specials. The staff was VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL.

The sample platter was good except smoked bologna. Neither of us finished the bologna as it sucked.

Ribs were perfect, brisket was too dry “for me”. Sides need work IMO. Service was A+. Also I’m from Kansas City so I’m a BBQ snob a little. 👍🏻

We’ve been at a few other Oklahoma Joe’s in OK and KC. This one - top of the list so far! The atmosphere is clean and “happy”! The staff so very friendly and accommodating. A few of our group had never been and they really enjoyed it as well - so our recommendation was spot on!

The burnt ends were everyone’s favorite. Crispy and tender, smoked to perfection. The turkey was also a hit. Fried Okra - mmmm - you can’t get it like that in the north! One of our party thought the brisket was a little dry - but they still ate it. The baked beans were 10/10. Coleslaw was great too!

Hands down one of our fav meals we had during our week in Tulsa for a business meeting.

Awesome and delicious. Pulled pork with the coleslaw was great. Mac and cheese and baked beans both amazing. And the gentleman who greeted us was extremely helpful as a first timer in the place he was very helpful with what to order after asking what we liked. Great job Oklahoma Joe's.... Will definitely be back once I make another trip up that way.

This was delivered BTW! So unsure about sevive or atmosphere.

Tried the chicken & ribs — both were dry, bland, and straight-up depressing. Like chewing on regret.

The white mac and cheese? Warm milk + noodles = disaster. No flavor. No cheese. Just paste.

“Mustard” sauce was brown, sweet, and had ZERO mustard in it. Total fakeout.

They didn’t send pickles or onions — just a lonely piece of toast like that made up for everything.

Only good thing? The coleslaw. Fresh, crisp, and the only item that didn’t make me question my life choices.

⭐️ 1/5 — Save your money. Go anywhere else. Just not here.

We got our order to go, both had the Carolina Pulked Pork Sandwich, with onion rings and mac & cheese. We were supposed to get baked beans, but they didn't make into the order. The BBQ was OK, not great. The Mac & Cheese was average. The onion rings were excellent. No idea what the beans were like. I would probably not go back because there is better.

Food wasnt the best I told the family ribcrib but they didnt listen but decent service and almost got the order right just missed a few things. Probably would go again if 1st choice were closed. Also very pricey for the low quality food that was crazy.
