Yokozuna Yale offers a great dining experience with a variety of sushi rolls, including a Chef's Choice option that is described as a true piece of art. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere with lots of natural light and excellent service from friendly and professional staff. Vegetarian options like the shiitake mushroom roll and edamame are well done, and the cocktails, especially those with ginger, are highly recommended. Though it can get a bit loud, it's still a popular spot with available parking. When making a reservation, diners expect a regular table to be saved. Some sushi rolls can be hit or miss, but the miso soup and cucumber salad are great. The dessert sushi roll with Rum pineapple dressing is not a dessert. Service can be slow, and a lack of concern for the customer is unsatisfying. Waiters may not tell you about charges for chile oil and other sauce, and might try to charge for the wrong size of beer.
