This is a diner type restaurant with excellent food and reasonable prices. They have the best chicken fried steak. I love the brown beans. The catfish is the best I’ve had. The service is great.
After a nice visit to nearby Sequoyah State Park, we wanted to try a local restaurant for seafood. The sign for the restaurant had a fish on it, so we knew it had to be good. Russ Restaurant did not disappoint. We shard the shrimp and catfish dinner with okra, hush puppies and fries for the side. For dessert, we had the cobbler ala mode. We had a great waitress who even offered to share cantaloupe from her home garden. Several "regulars" came in which only added to the local atmosphere.

If you are looking for some good fried chicken, this is the place to go in Wagoner! It is always cooked to order, hot fresh and seasoned well. Add a little honey and it is perfection! You can tell it is a family owned restaurant, the waitresses treat you as family, and are always on top of it. They are a small but mighty crew. The cobbler is a must too!!
