Madura Dine-In Reviews
Enjoyed the taste
Solid dosa, onion bhajis and medium vadha. Great place for brunch or dinner.
We stopped by for a quick lunch today at 2:15 pm. Even though it was close to their mid-day break at 3 pm, the team was incredibly accommodating and happy to serve us from the full menu.
We ordered the Mini Thali, Ghee Mini Idlies in Sambar, and the 5 Taste Oothappams. We were pleasantly surprised by the homely taste and quality of the food. The portion size could be a bit more, but given the current cost of living, we understand they’re doing their best at this price...read full review

Madura Dine-In offers authentic and tasty Indian food that transports diners to India. The Idli manchurian, Mysore Masala Dosa, Parotta plate, buttermilk, and badam milk are highly recommended. Sambhar and sambhar vada are standout dishes, while the paneer dosa is a must-try. The dosa are tasty and served with clean, attentive service, with servers frequently checking if guests need anything. Many customers say it has become their family’s favorite dosa place. The restaurant provides consistent quality and a pleasant atmosphere, making it a top choice for South Indian cuisine in Durham region. It is also a small, cozy spot in Ajax known for good South Indian food and good service, with many visitors returning over the years. Some items like mini thalli are not worth the price, and the number of items is limited. The ‘Tiffen’ items like dosa are worth buying, though the onion dosa is just a plain dosa with raw onions inside. Special rice dishes like ‘bissi bella bath’ are good. Many enjoy the food, especially the sambar, and keep returning for the Mysore Masala Dosa and chutneys. The service is often described as the sweetest and most attentive, making customers look forward to their visits. Overall, it offers good value and quality South Indian Udupi style food. Portions are decent, though the seating and atmosphere are a bit dated but functional. Due to the quality of food and reasonable pricing, there is always a rush. Madura Dine-In remains a favorite South Indian restaurant in Durham.
