I had to give 3 stars not because I don't like the flavors, they are all good and a great drink, if you can handle milk. I originally came across the brand at a farm show. During which it being lactose free was a main discussion and one of the points of sale. Last night when I gave this drink to my husband, he eventually spent the rest of the night curled up with an extreme stomachache to the point tears welled up in his eyes, he was in so much pain. He woke up this morning...
A must stop in Almonte/MM. The creative drinks melt the soul. AND all the other distilled flavours to sample and then to make the tough decision which to take home. Stop, sit and sample!
Full disclosure - I'm born and raised Almonte and, with the exception of a 12 year stint in Ottawa, I've lived all my life here. I'm very proud of my home town and was delighted when the Dairy Distillery set up shop in town. My wife and I recently took the tour and it was very reasonably priced, informative and most importantly, a lot of fun. We all had the chance to sample all eight of their cream flavours.
