Meh. I was hoping to be blown away after reading all the great reviews. Sadly there wasn’t nearly enough red sauce and the crust was over baked and hard to chew. But the young lady who cashed me out was a 5 star.
Wonderful young lady took order and was very pleasant
We just love the Detroit style pizza 🍕 😋. It's really worth the trip to go out to Aburg to get one.
Great job on the pizza. Delicious!!! Really bacon fresh mushrooms. Delicious!!!!
Nice location. Pay first and then done option. Food was good.
Food was amazing. Delivery right at requested time. Then they called to tell me they noticed I was billed too much AND brought me back what I was owed!! This is now my go-to for dinner in Amherstburg!! Laura
To say I love pizza is an understatement. Some have called me a bit of a pizza snob. I get it, yeah I just might be, but that’s ok. So, my wife and I recently moved to Amherstburg from the Halifax region of Nova Scotia, where we lived for the past 4 years in what I would call the pizza wasteland of Canada. Some Haligonians believe they have great pizza out there, not my experience. The only good ‘za we had in 4 years was a Margarita style from a food truck. That’s it. So when we were planning our move back to Ontario, and landed on the Windsor area, I started to research the local pizza places. I was happy to learn about the rich pizza culture, and couldn’t wait to dig in. Once we found our home in Amherstburg, we decided to start our pizza journey out here with Armando’s, and once trying Armando’s we have not found the need to try any other place. Tonight we had our first Professor’s Pizza, the Pepperoni Paradise, with one slight modification, the addition of green olives. I must, and I repeat, MUST have green olives on my ‘za!
The Pepperoni Paradise was fabulous!
I pick up all our ‘zas and I believe I’ve seen chef Dean in the back with his crew making ‘zas each time I’ve been in to pick up. You just know he loves what he does and it shows I what he and his team produce every time.
I’d like to explore more Windsor area pizza places, which I know I should, but hard to switch it up when one has found perfection.
We saw an ad for this place on our social media for the PBR sandwich and are from out of town. We were planning a visit there so clearly my phone was listening and giving me this suggestion. Well it did well. We made it a point to stop there just to grab this sandwich. The service as soon as you walked in was super friendly and welcoming. The sandwich hit all the taste buds. The combination of the chicken, pickles, bacon and house made ranch made it so juicy with every bite hitting it. We split this so I can say the portion size is decent. Well worth spending it on a homemade sandwich than McDonald's!! Spend the extra two or three bucks and get yourself something like this that will leave you more satisfied.
First of all... Amazing service! The two girls that were there were kind, friendly and attentive. Gave recommendations and were super helpful to explain the menu.
Sunday is for sure the best day to come. The Detroit style pizza is absolutely delicious, the amount of cheese is gorgeous and the flavors are just perfect. The dough is crispy outside and fluffy and soft in the inside. They only have this one on Sundays so, keep that in mind.
The garlic knots are a must to wait, come with marinara and ranch sauce to dip in. Give them a try, won't regret it.
They also have local beers, like walkerville. Very good options to choose.
There are 7 tables in the inside and two large ones in the outside.
I need to come back soon! My favorite pizza here so far! Worth the driving

Ordered a large walnut and goat cheese salad and I was very disappointed with the size of it since it was more like a small and the lettuce was all willy. On the other hand the deep dish pizza was pretty good

Professor Za is the uncontested king of pizza. These are the best pizzas in the world. Better than chicago, detroit, and such unique combinations. Make sure to check out deep dish sundays.

Although it's suppose to be self order and serve, they always bring you your food. Panzerotti was stuffed and the pizza was loaded.
