We usually end up at the Granite 2-3 times per year while out riding the snowmobile trails. Whether it’s the start of a trip, the end of a trip, lunch or dinner we have never been disappointed. They have a great selection of food for everyone. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding. We will be looking for new reasons to back!

We are regular patrons to the Granite. We love the outdoor patio in summer and for the most part, the food is always very good. The service is also very good. But then there’s once and awhile where everything goes sideways. Last Thursday we had dinner there because it was fish and chips night. We ordered around 5:30 and later we were told that they ran out of fish. At 5:30! They’re open until 9 or 10 I believe. My wife was able to order the fish and chips and I tried some chicken noodle teriyaki dish that was okay. The waitress was okay. Didn’t really seem to want to be there. My impression only. Quite inattentive. Ordered two martinis. Both the espresso martini and my dry gin martini were so watered down. No olives. No martini glasses. And what is it with most restaurants in Ontario where you always have to ask for water. Everywhere else in the world it comes automatically. We still think it’s one of the better places to go for lunch or dinner but sometimes it’s disappointing.

It was one of the first snow days and the town of Bancroft was shimmering in a dusting of white. We sat in an alcove at the restaraunt overlooking the town. It felt private and cozy. I had the thinly sliced beef sandwich. Delicious with the fries. Our server was polite and efficient. Great place.

We tried The Granite for the first time a few days ago and we will definitely be back. I had the falafel wrap with sweet potato fries and both were amazing. Very large portion sizes, fresh ingredients, and well prepared. Food came out in a very reasonable amount of time you would expect for meals made from-scratch. Our waitress was attentive, and the atmosphere was very cosy. You guys are doing a great job!
