The food was incredible - bursting with flavours! We had a gordita, stuffed burger, torta de pastor and tres leche cake. Everything was superlative as was the hostess who is one of the owners. The restaurant was clean and welcoming with a nice menu all plant based. Certainly comng back!

Great enchilada lunch today at Mexhico. They stood up well for takeout. Just the right amount of spiciness for me as I'm not big on hot spicy. Menu covers a good selection. Restaurant is clean. Entrance on Maple Ave. Stop by for lunch or dinner, or get a gift card now to use later or give as a gift. They need our support!

Amazing gem and I'm not even vegetarian. I went with my friend (who is) and we were both very satisfied. I had the tacos al pastor, and the protein was tasty and the whole thing so fresh! I think the tortillas are hand made too. My friend had the fish tacos (neither contain any meat) and they were SO good! I liked the bite I had better than real fish!
We ended the meal with the brownie, and my GOD it was good. Sooo chocolatey and the spice level was amazing.
Everything is plant based, but don't skip if you're a carnivore because it's all delicious.

If you’re looking for a great spot to eat in Barrie, look no further this was excellent Mexican food! We were so happy to find this little gem. The portions are large and food is deliciously flavoured. Vegan “Barbacoa” tacos, “chicken” enchiladas, Salty mango margarita - they were all delicious. Service was quick and attentive. Can’t wait to go back!

Located right in Baldwin Village downtown Toronto, this Mexican restauraunt is a short walk away from the major hospitals, UofT, OCAD and Michener. If you're ever visiting friends at a local hospital or post-secondary institution, or for whatever reason are in the area, I recommend coming here. Based on all the other reviews, I can't necessarily disagree with the points people made, but a few things need to be addressed:
1) Expensive/overpriced - yes, but this is Baldwin Village. There's no chain restauraunts in the area nor are there necessarily 'cheap' options. Baldwin Village aims to be a chic area for trendy and unique food spots, so in that dynamic, I think the prices are reasonable.
2) Long wait times - yes, would also agree, but this is authentic Mexican cuisine. For the guac and chips, they made the guac table side, so you know its fresh as opposed to other Mexican restauraunts which likely use pre-made mixes. The desserts and some other dishes were also finished table side, so you're paying for the experience as well.

Honestly the best Mexican food I've ever had. Will be going back the next time I'm in Barrie for sure. Portion sizes were great, flavours were great and prices were reasonable for what you get.
I love the ambiance at this restaurant. I really love the staff and the food is delicious. I never get sick of it and I dine in there a lot. I highly recommend checking it out.
