Sushi and tree has become my absolute favorite lunch or dinner spot in the city! The lunch specials are reasonable and delicious and all the fish is incredibly fresh and well presented. I decided to try Buddha express one day to switch things up and although their sushi was fresh and good, it didn't come even close to the taste or size at sushi and tree.
The owner is lovely as well and is always so kind and prompt with refilling drinks, and bringing food. The restaurant is also super clean!

This was my first time here and oh gosh it was truly the best- I’m from out of town but i will absolutely be back! Best sushi experience I’ve ever had! The owners are so sweet and attentive- the food was incredible, so many amazing options ! I got the edamame, miso soup and 2 rolls and it was so much food I couldn’t even finish it- I am so excited for my delicious lunch sushi rolls tomorrow!!

This is the best Sushi in Barrie hands down! I've tried every other place and the quality just isn't there at other restaurants. The owners are extremely friendly and work hard to deliver the best sushi, sashimi and Maki in the city. Their Gyoza is also incredible especially the sauce that comes with it. I wouldn't take my business anywhere else when it comes to take out sushi in Barrie!

My son wanted avocado sushi for his birthday but for the life of me there wasnt a single ripe avocado in all of Simcoe county so I couldnt make it for him. I recalled a friend recommended this place as it also had vegan sushi. I show up and thanks to the very extensive vegan menu, I end up ordering a platter! My son LOVED it! He said it was the best sushi he has ever had. We went back for my birthday and had a sit down lunch and it did not disappoint. The vegan menu is shockingly extensive and diverse. The endless green tea! The incredible artwork of delicious vegan sushi was the most wonderful. We stuffed our faces full and left very happy. My son had the vegan salmon and he still talks about how good it was. The owner was also so attentive and checked with me to see if I was a vegan because the miso soup wasn't and I had ordered that (came with a lunch special, so gave a wonderful substitution for free.
Can't wait to go back. They have actual salmon and such, but its such a wonderful treat to be able to have the vegan version of it.
Vegetarian options: The vegan options are wonderful here. So worth the drive. The only problem is having to decide what to get due to the variety. I recommend it all.
Parking: Its downtown Barrie so you get what you can. We ended up driving around the block once but thats typical of this area.

We took a takeout and the food was very good. I judge sushi restaurants by the taste of rice and this place scores high in my personal rating. The portions are generous too, recommended.

We decided to try Sushi and Tree for the first time today and it was delicious! We ordered the shrimp tempura to start and they were perfectly crispy. We also had the chicken teriyaki dinner and the Yamee dragon roll and we were pleasantly surprised by the large portions. Both of our dishes were amazing. The torched yam on the roll added a layer of flavor that was unique and really added to the dish and the tempura beans were a nice addition to the chicken teriyaki. I also wanted to mention how amazing the service was, it really added to the whole experience! We will definitely be back!
Vegetarian options: This restaurant has a separate and really awesome vegan/vegetarian menu. I am not vegetarian myself but I was impressed that they had so many great options!
