Popped in after skiing for some sushi and it did not disappoint!!
First of all, the owners are absolutely lovely people. We called ahead because we knew we might arrive close to closing time, and they were so accommodating — no problem at all.
When we got there, they surprised us with a complimentary spring roll each, which was so appreciated after working up a serious appetite on the slopes.
Our server recommended ordering just two rolls since they’re large… and she was not kidding — they are HUGE! We ordered the Thank You Barrie and Love Love Salmon rolls, and both were incredible. So fresh, so flavorful, and the perfect amount of 🌶️.
We enjoyed our visit so much — and trust me when I say this was good sushi… we just got back from Japan!

Small authentic japanese restaurant. Food was delicious. We ordered some appetizers and two special makis (Dunlop West and Clap to Crab) and we found them to be a good size and very filling. Customer service was very friendly and attentive.

Absolutely loved Sushi & Tree. We ordered the platter and every single piece was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. You can tell a lot of care goes into both the quality of the fish and the balance of the rolls. Generous portions, great variety, and honestly one of the best sushi platters we’ve had. Will definitely be ordering again.

Decided to try Sushi & Tree for takeout and overall it was a solid first sushi spot for us in Barrie 🍣🌱
We ordered takeout and called in our order instead of using Uber Eats — bonus: 10% off when you pay cash, which is always appreciated 💸
What we ordered: 🍱 Small maki & sushi platter 🍣 Salmon sashimi (x2) 🥗 Wakame salad
Our order was ready for pickup in about 40 minutes, right on time. The presentation was really nice, especially for takeout — everything looked fresh and well put together.
The maki rolls were pretty good and enjoyable overall. The salmon sashimi didn’t seem quite as fresh as expected, which was the main downside for us. That said, the rest of the order hit the spot.
We’re not vegan, but I have to say the huge vegan menu is very cool and definitely makes this place stand out 🌱👏
All in all, a good first experience and we’d definitely order from here again — and will likely try a few different items next time.
