The jerk Marshall Jamaican Grill

Never had Jamaican food before, and not really an adventurous eater. Got the curried chicken roti and the jerk chicken pasta. I dont even have words for how so ridiculously good these dishes are... I'll be drooling in my dreams tonight. If you haven't eaten here before, you NEED to try it.

First I only got the small jerk chicken which was disappointing and pretty bland, not popping with flavour like any previous jerk chicken I've had. The proportions for the price were absolutely ridiculous. Only expect rice as a side unless you want to pay much more for anything, and wait longer because the one thing prepared is the main dishes and rice, unless you want to pay again for cold slaw and macaroni mix. Whether you dine in or take out the packages are all the same and no table service, just a few tables. They only provided a fork so expect to be eating with your hands. However the counter service was great and friendly, but the food was a total let down.

As a first time customer who is new to the Barrie area I wasn’t sure what to expect lol I went in on a chance and was pleasantly surprised ❣️

The gentleman who greeted me at the counter was very nice and polite.

I requested the Ackee and Salish which was made fresh to order with rice and peas along side some freshly steamed vegetables.

The portion size was very generous and the taste is on point . My new go to when I need a little taste of homestyle food lol

I have tried most Jamaican Restaurants in Barrie was disappointed. THE JERK MARSHALL JAMAICAN RESTAURANT IS THE BEST IN BARRIE!!! I AM ENJOYING MY Ackee and saltfish, so yummy!! 😋 later tonight I enjoy my fry fish with white rice yum yummy 😋 😊 thank you!!

Best jerk chicken that I’ve tasted in a long time. Came here with my family my husband and my son the food was flavorful, hot and fresh. There’s a lot of space if you need to sit with your loved ones or a friend. you can find parking on the main street or the side streets. Great location from the water.

Walked by this place a few times but hadn’t gone in yet. So on the way home from running an errand after work I ordered curry chicken roti. It smelt amazing and tasted even better. So happy I finally stopped in. Will eat here again.

Once again, Marshall didn't disappoint. I asked for extra jerk sauce on my rice, along with some individual hot pepper sauce. More than willing to pay extra, but this Caribbean restaurant didn't blink and fulfilled my request. I have only tried one other jerk place in Barrie, but it doesn't matter, I'm not going anywhere else. Please go and support this business and enjoy quality Jamaican food. These people know what they're doing!

Ordered through ubereats. Chicken curry roti with a side of red peas and rice. Did not get rice so why offer it?? I found the roti very salty.

Stopped by today for some Oxtail and this spot did not disappoint! Nice, generous portions of juicy and tender meat. Delicious gravey with perfect rice and peas! Definitely will be back to try the jerk.

The Jerk Marshall Jamaican Grill is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Jamaican food! The flavors are bold, rich, and absolutely delicious. From the perfectly spiced jerk chicken to the flavorful oxtail, every dish I’ve tried has been outstanding. The portions are generous, and the food always comes out fresh and hot.

I'm in love with their brown stew chicken, so much so that I never had anything else. But the other day I found out they don't have brown stew on Thursdays so we tried their roti's. Mine was jerk chicken and my wife had the curry chicken roti. Exceptional as well. Apparently I once gave this restaurant 1 star. It's now my favorite Carribean restaurant anywhere.
