We went to The Toasted Walnut yesterday, even after seeing a bad review for them on Durham Region Food Reviews (Facebook). I’m SO glad we decided to give it a try as it was fantastic! Very flavourful and fresh. My husband had the daily special which was a BBQ pulled-pork mac-n-cheese grilled cheese. It was ah-mazing (yes I tried it too). It came with a side salad and also an apple coleslaw. I had their Italian wedding soup and it’s by far one of the best I’ve ever tried....read full review
Cute cafe! Nice, bright ambience. The woman who greeted us was really nice. When we got there, the two large party tables (both with four seats) were full and we weren’t really given a wait time. The food on the counters looked delicious but we didn’t purchase anything. Hope to try it another time!
