We ordered a cake for our son’s birthday, and it exceeded our expectations. The design was perfect, the cake was fresh, soft, and not overly sweet. Most importantly, our son was so happy. Highly recommended!

This place is the best! A vegetarian sweet tooth’s dream! The cookies and pineapple pastries are delicious. This bakery is a must try and will be my go to whenever i visit the GTA.

I recently made the mistake of buying a cake i from Makkar Bakery, and honestly, it was hands-down the worst cake I've ever encountered in my entire life. The moment I cut into it, the sponge felt dense and rubbery, like it had been sitting in the freezer for weeks and then half-thawed. The cream tasted artificial and overly sweet in the most unpleasant way, almost like cheap icing sugar mixed with old oil.Absolute zero stars if I could.

The quality and taste used to be good but it has significantly gone down. Spent $50+ on a cake and it turned out very stale. I was a regular customer here but it looks like that will no longer be the case. I would advise against buying your cake at this place. There are other places with better taste and customer service.

I got a mango cake yesterday evening. It was stale. I asked the girl at the front multiple times if the cake was fresh. She didn’t bother to tell me the truth. I am the regular customer here and got cakes many times before. But this was my worst experience. The cake was not good quality at all. Will never be visiting this place again.

Worst cake ever such try cake we litterally wanted to return back but shop was closed anyhow we end up throwing it as it was not edible at all.

Such bad texture and dry too.
Cannot even thing to go and buy anything else from here and would recommnd the same.

Make sure to ask for the fresh cream Rasmalai cake — it’s truly the best! I highly recommend ordering in advance. You will not be disappointed!

tried the patties and rasmalai cake here, and both seemed old and not fresh at all. The patties were dry and had a stale taste, and the rasmalai cake felt like it had been sitting out for a while — not creamy or soft as it should be. For the price, I expected much better quality. Definitely not worth it unless they improve the freshness of their food.
