Halibut House Fish and Chips

We go often for the breakfast special in the morning. It seems like the best deal in town for breakfast. The service is always amazing, the waitresses are great ; attentive and super friendly.

The Greek dinner is absolutely delicious with rice, chicken and Greek salad. My friends had the haddock and fries, slaw and loved it. Great friendly service and large portions. We will be back

Its been awhile since we ate here. Ordered 2 PC fish and chips, Cod. Really good. The portion of French fries was small though. Potatoes are inexpensive. I wish they gave more !!!

Just paid $17.50 (before tax) for 4 fish sticks and a handful of fries and a little cup of coleslaw.
And apparently that's a 'special'
... I'm never eating here again
Moral of this story: Don't get ripped off like I did.

Fresh, delicious and affordable dinners are served at this restaurant. The service was great, and I'd recommend Hake! Very tasty!

Clean and well lit, served promptly, and the food was generous and hot! We love the halibut and the specials offered. We order onion rings on one order and fries in the other, and share. Plenty of seating!

We recently visited Halibut House in Brantford with a large group of about 20 people, and I have to say they handled it really well. Even with such a big group, the service was quick and efficient — our server was attentive and made sure everyone was looked after without any delays. The portions were generous, and the food came out hot, fresh, and nicely prepared.

It’s not easy to keep quality consistent when serving a crowd, but they pulled it off smoothly. Everyone at the table was happy with their meals, and the presentation was clean and appetizing. Overall, it was a very good dining experience — great food, solid service, and a welcoming spot for both small and large groups. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Went for their Haddock special on a Monday night, place was bright, clean & a decent temperature, didn’t freeze us out. Waitress was fast, had a bus person on to help, nice to see. Lots of plants by the door felt like someone cares about the place, adds a touch of homeyness. Lots of booth tables which we like. Good prices & of course our dinners were delicious, hot & tasty. Haddock n chips n pickle spears, all came hot, fast & not greasy. Keep up the good work! I felt the portions were a good size, not tons of chips, but more than I could eat, hubby ate all his. Will return.
