The chicken wings were amazing. Crispy and juicy and saucy! My pineapple drink was perfect! Our waitress was very informative and super friendly. Great spot. Sitting on the patio was nice, a few fruit flies tried to land on my food otherwise it was overall 10/10

The Hudson Public has a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was okay not great, but not terrible either. It’s a decent spot for drinks or a casual night out, just don’t expect anything too special.

I’d 100% recommend Hudson Public! I’ve been here well over 100 times and it’s always a great time. Never had a bad experience and food always comes out great. My friends and I generally sit on the patio as it’s dog friendly so I always took my golden retriever Liam up until he had to cross the rainbow bridge and they always made sure to bring him water the second we got there. The way all staff there treated Liam with love, for that alone I’ll always recommend them! But, since we keep having great times here I’ll always continue going here! Yes, sometimes they’re insanely busy and we wait a bit for our food or drinks. We don’t complain because we understand and we just enjoy each other’s company. ❤️

Everyone's order was labeled with their name. Great touch and appreciated.

It was the worst dining experience of my long life. We had reservations for 5:30 as we had theatre tickets for 7:30. Ordered drinks that we still did not have after waiting for over one hour. Had to opt for a glass of wine because there was no one tending bar and servers had to make their own drinks. Meals arrived at 7:05 from 5:30. We repeatedly asked for a manager and we were told there was no manager. Our waitress was crying and apologized repeatedly for the bad service and lack of food.
I ordered Spadina street sesame chicken bowl. It was very disappointing. Dry rice with overcooked chicken balls. No Thai sauce in my bowl. I couldn’t find any sesame seeds or scallions.
To round out the dinner experience we had to leave the restaurant and return after the play at the Sanderson theatre to pay for our terrible dinner. If there was a manager I never would have paid for such a terrible experience. But I’m an honest person and would not leave the sweet little waitress to get in trouble.

Last night a group of 10 of us went to this restaurant prior to the show at the Sanderson Theatre. We arrived at 5 pm. Our reservations were made quite sometime ago with specific instructions that we wanted to be seated inside. We were put outside in the sun (the umbrella did not shade the entire table) and our group was split into a table of 6 and a table of 4. It took sometime but they eventually got us a table inside. Drink orders had already been placed when we were still outside, so there was a little confusion (very understandable) when we were moved inside. From this point on it was a disaster. The restaurant was very busy with lots of people going to the show which was to start at 7:30. There was only 1 server in our section and she was completely overwhelmed. I was not timing this, but I think it was probably a good half hour before our order was taken for food. Our waitress was so overwhelmed that she was running back and forth to deliver drinks and food. There was nobody helping her at all. At one point she came to our table apologizing for the slow service and she was crying. We tried to calm her down as did several other tables. This was not her fault, she had no help. Our food arrived close to 7 pm, so we had to eat very fast. My food was good and the serving was generous. One of my friends had the Philly Steak Sandwich and the beef was burned to a crisp. It was literally charred black. There was no time to ask for another one. As food was arriving we asked for our checks so that we could pay, and get to the show on time. Our waitress was so flustered that she had to ask each of us what we had so that she could make the bills. We all went up to the register to pay and it was complete bedlam. There was a stack of bills and we all looked for our own. We arrived just in time for the show, thankfully. This was not the fault of the server and we all tipped her, but in all this not once did we see a manager step in to help. Finally a few of the other servers and the hostess stepped in to deliver food. Too little to late. I don’t know the situation…perhaps a server did not show up…or was it just understaffed, but there should have been a manager there stepping in to help.
Great place. We stopped in here for a few pints and a bite to eat. Lots of free street parking close by. We were seated right away without a reservation. All the staff members were extremely friendly and attentive. They had a great selection of beers on tap. We got the nachos and they were delicious. Well worth checking out if in the area.

We had wonderful service, the prices were reasonable, large portions and everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed the food. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere, great food and awesome service, this is the place for you. We will definitely be back.

We were there on Saturday, June 21st. Our server was Hailey and she was so great! Very attentive and friendly as well as great at her job! The food is always good, we love the patio but in the past we have not been happy with the service, Hailey made up for it.
