Great price and excellent food!

AMBIENCE: The restaurant offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with elegant Indian décor and soft lighting. The seating was comfortable, and the music added a cultural touch without being too loud. Great for both family dinners and date nights.

SERVICE: Although the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy during our visit, the service felt a bit slow. Plates were not cleared in a timely manner, which affected the overall dining experience. A bit more attentiveness from the staff would have made a difference.

FOOD QUALITY: The food was served at a lukewarm temperature, which affected its freshness and appeal. The dishes lacked the vibrant flavors and creativity one might expect from a fine Indian restaurant. Overall, the food was quite average and did not leave a lasting impression.

CLEANLINESS: The dining area, restrooms, and table settings were spotless. Hygiene standards were clearly maintained.

VALUE FOR MONEY: Considering the average food quality and the slow service, the experience did not quite match the pricing. While the ambiance was decent, the overall value felt underwhelming for what was expected from a restaurant of this reputation.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Taal Fine Indian Cuisine had the potential for a great dining experience, but it fell short in key areas. The food lacked warmth and excitement, and service could have been more attentive—even with a relatively quiet dining room. With some improvements in food quality and staff engagement, it could offer a much more satisfying visit.

Best Indian food around. A must try. Love it.

Honestly really solid Indian food for a) Brantford, and b) a buffet. Food is restocked regularly and has a ton of flavour and variety. I personally enjoy getting to try a little of each of their large selection of curry dishes, as well as their pakoras and other appetizers. Have been here many times and have never had a bad experience, definitely give it a try if you’re into Indian cuisine!

My favourite indian food. Staff is great, food is delicious. Takeout is a bit expensive, but quality and taste are great. Havent sat in for the buffet, yet, but definitely better in pricing to sit in. My only complaint, is that everytime I order take out, when I go in to pickup, I always end up waiting 15-30 min for my food - even when I purposely arrive late (bc I know it takes them longer than they estimate to bring the food to the front). Sometimes, my food is sitting on the counter, but waiting for someone to cash me out takes long. If I could pick up my food quicker, I'd appreciate it! I order from Taal on a monthly basis at minimum.

I had a great experience at the restaurant, and a big part of that was thanks to Manpreet Singh. He is professional, friendly, and always attentive to customer needs. His service was quick and courteous, and he made sure everything was perfect during my visit. Highly recommend this place—and especially Manpreet—for a great dining experience!

Taal is the BEST Indian food I’ve ever eaten & I grew up in Toronto so I’ve had my fair share of Indian cuisine! Their butter chicken, samosas and vegetarian dishes are to die for. So flavourful, robust in flavour & fresh. I have been going to Taal for years & well before they did their renovations, which has updated the place to a stylish, chic & comfortable place to eat. All the love & thought put into the decor, food and homey casual dining experience are the reasons I am a loyal customer. Their take out buffet is generous & one takeout is plenty to feed 2 people. Their take staff are helpful & do their best to provide good service or resolve any issues with care & thought. Sunny has been a server there ever since I’ve been going to Taal & is my favourite employee. The chef is fast & friendly and always has a smile when the kitchen door swings open. My family & I can definitely feel the love in their food and crave eating there. It is a relaxed & chill experience, but most of all their food is absolutely DELICIOUS!!!

Quality and service is getting worse by the day. Same unfriendly staff and takes too long for take out and longer for delivery. Food arrives old and cold. Unfortunately not a fan anymore.

Love the food from this place. Please humble request to have a golgappe buffet in $10 or in less price. Its going to help all pregnant ladies and low income husbands and they will send so many blessings all year and after🙏 😁😋

Worst experience very bad and stale food, manchurian was stone cold most of the dishes were like 2-3 days old. Samosa was raw.
