Denninger's Burlington

I just got an order from the Burlington store through Instacart. I'm in Ancaster. I used to eat your food all of the time, literally, but haven't for a few years as I am too disabled to shop. To say I'm totally disappointed is an understatement. The beef stroganoff has no meat, except 3 pieces honestly the size of my small fingernail! Mushrooms though, and a bit of watery gravy. The cheddar and bacon roesti are so hard at this moment I could use them as hockey pucks. My half blueberry pie was in a large container so 1/2 the filling fell out! The curry pie is tiny. I won't try the Swedish meatballs, scalloped potatoes or bangers until another day but my expectations are very low. what has happened to your amazing good? I won't be ordering from you again and certainly will not be recommending anyone else to either either, even if prices were lower. So, so disappointed, and I was so excited about delivery at less than $25.00.

Have enjoyed the schnitzels, lattes, fresh black cherries and pickled asparagus and kalamata olives over the past few days. Forgotten how good the quality is at Deninger’s. My mother use to shop at the main store on King Street in Hamilton. Had to shop then visit the Black Forest Inn for coffee and cake when I was eight years old. Butcher always gave us kids polish sausage from behind the deli counter. Will never forget that kind gesture. Today, it’s all about AI cutting back on customer service and we the consumer suffer and have to pay too $$$. Not at Deningers. Still the same great quality and lots of staff here to assist customers. Keep up the good work Deningers!

Excellent selection of groceries. Prices are a bit high especially for the almond nougat twist. Other than that its a great place to shop. They also hire locals.

I have been shopping at Denningers for 40 years and I’m surprised at how things are run these days. My husband’s family knew Rudi Denninger and the business was so well run when he was in charge. I was in the store on lane 4 at 16:45 pm on June 9 and the cashier forgot to add an item I had paid for to my bag. When I called to ask about the item the next day, my first call was transferred and then disconnected after holding for 3 minutes. My second call was transferred again and then I hung up after a 3 minute hold. My 3rd call was never answered at all so I struck out. Customer service has changed a lot in my lifetime and it makes me sad that such a great company has changed so much too.

Great place but prices are slowly going higher and higher

The doughnuts had artificial filling with fake red color. Why would I go shop there if they use same chemicals in foods as all the other grocery stores.

I shop here when hungry. Enjoy some hot prepared food which is excellent, then grab the groceries for later. It's a system that works well.
