My family and i always use this restaurant when i come to visit from England, have been going here for over 10 years. Never had a bad experience here, the food is delightful! Always having leftover pancakes the next day as the Canadian portions are a loveable size! :-)
We have been going to Mount Royal for 25 years but today was the last time. The ownership has changed and it is noticeable. Service was not adequate and the value of food to price was our scale.
We are from NC, and spent a couple of days in Canada. My wife enjoys picking restaurants where locals eat while on vacation. She picked this place and honestly, I was a little nervous of the way this one looked from the outside. BUT.... don't be fooled.
