Wanted to shout out Sunset Grill for their knowledge around gluten free diners. My wife has celiac disease they took very good care of her today. Typically peameal bacon is fine, but the server let us know very quickly that their supplier does have gluten in the rub and made sure that we did not order that.

We arrived at 1230. Our food was served at 135 pm after we asked about it a second time. The waitress was whining about 2 staff calling in sick. We had to ask for cutlery. She forgot my coleslaw. Service was poor and rude. We asked for our bills when they refilled the coffee. Other customers were getting their bills at their tables. We had to walk up to the cash and pay. They forgot about us even though the place was almost empty. I was leaving a 5% tip. Her card reader wouldn't accept my apple watch. Then it wouldn't accept apple pay from my phone. Then when I tried my credit card it declined the transaction. She took the reader and re-entered the amount but she said out loud no tip then handed it to me with just the bill total. Guess I upset her with 5% so much she wanted nothing from me. Very immature for someone who was probably 60.

Our weekend breakfast spot, my husband loves the Monte Cristo - our son the pancake fruit and bacon special and myself.. The omelettes the breakfast poutine pancakes.. Anything really is delicious. The family that runs this spot is suwpr friendly and always take the best care for us and our son. They had great gluten free toast and good options for my celiac mom to join us!! Weekday special before 9 can't be beat.. I couldn't finish.. Must try and make your regular go to spot for breakfast.. Just come after 9 so we can always grab our favorite table.. Lol 👌☺️😂😉

Ordered scrambled eggs and bacon. The eggs were not good. Had to ask for another coffee because it tasted like it had been there all day second cup not much better. Asked server to take the 2.99 off my bill said she couldn't and didn't even ask why I didn't eat much of my eggs. I would not recommend this place due to service and I will not return.
