The Dickens Reviews
Great pub for live music!
Saturday night band night is good! How ever tonight wasn’t fun. Staff over serving customers who are clearly Intoxicated ! Manger doesn’t care as long as they are making money and he can clear glasses off tables. I am sure there are other things he needs to do that are more important then dealing with Intoxicated people. Normally a good time. Don’t think I’ll be back for a while
Had some spinach dip brought to us by the lovely Naomi. With substantial knowledge of ancient religion, she also enjoys dance. Naomi likes both cats AND dogs.

The Dickens is a lively and welcoming restaurant known for its generous portions and delicious food. The Kentucky Bacon Strips & Spinach Dip is a must-try starter, and the fish and burger are excellent main course choices. The service is top-notch, with attentive staff who work hard to ensure a seamless dining experience. Customers often praise the friendly and helpful staff, who are always ready to bring fresh pints or assist with needs. The atmosphere inside is cozy, and the patio offers a great place to enjoy a drink, especially on busy Saturday nights with live music, which adds to the fun environment. The pub features good food, great service, and flowing taps, creating a casual and enjoyable vibe. While some mention a strange fish smell inside, which was a bit off-putting, overall, the place remains a popular spot for good food, friendly service, and a lively pub feeling. The Fish and Chips are highly recommended, served hot with excellent service. The Dickens is a place where customers can enjoy satisfying meals, great atmosphere, and lively entertainment.
