Amazing food and staff. The lobster spaghetti was delicious and had proper pieces of lobster. I would have taken a picture but I was too busy eating.
Drinks were delicious and they were very accommodating in making mocktails for my wife.
We will be back the next time we are in Carleton Place.

Good service and the restaurant is nicely decorated. Jan 10/25 food rating- steak - excellent, potatoes, veggies salty. Dessert- tasty but several people had to use the washroom afterwards. Not sure what the chef used but wow a few people's gut suffered.

Good: Elegant table settings. Good calamari. Really lovely tomato and red pepper soup, not the usual ho-hum stuff. Cabernet sauvignon. Not bad, not great: Service--pleasant, a bit slow because the kitchen was slow, and reaching across the table to hand an entree into a diner's hands should not happen. Chicken parmesan sandwich. Caesar salad, although a lot of cutting after the fact was required. Bad: Large awful paintings. Lobster spaghetti, loaded with salt (and $38) - could not finish it. This restaurant was recommended to us while visiting Ottawa. The seared tuna was amazing. My only issue is that we waited 45 minutes for our appetizer. Then, the server came out and apologized for it taking so long (we still didn't receive it) she said she didn't enter the order correctly. She turns around to head to the kitchen and comes right back with everything we ordered, and I mean everything.
So we're eating our appetizers while our main is getting cold on a tiny table for 2. The main did not taste good, but the atmosphere was great, especially the outdoor patio.
Had a wonderful anniversary dinner with my partner. Victoria was particularly attentive and provided friendly and excellent service.

We had an amazing meal last night at Boulton House. Husband had the chicken parm--a generous serving with a rustic pomodoro sauce on the pasta--and I had the scallops special. The scallops were seared to perfection and were beautifully presented with crumbled chorizo and a pea puree. Everything was beyond delicious. Our server, Veronica, was charming and attentive. We sat by the window overlooking the river and the prettily lit bridge. Just a perfect dinner out. Highly recommend.

So here we are on the smallest table for 2 with multiple dishes, appetizers, and entrées. So I asked why my entrée was with my appetizer and was told that's how they do it.
