Great food and service. I only ranked this place 3-stars because I was annoyed about the payment set-up which demands a minimum tip of 18% and up, or zero. There is no option to pay, say 15%. This is the first time I have encountered that situation, and I think it is out of line.
The table had fish and chips, some kind of Greek dip, hot chicken wings and tortillas. All good, no complaints. Had a good table beside the window. Nice patio outside. Unfortunately not too many seats available.
If you’re passing by Carleton Place and it’s almost lunch, not taking a quick detour here is a big loss. The prices are reasonable, and the food is out of this world. The waiter(s) is(are) very nice and service was very good.
Dish Recommendation: Bangers & Mashed
The Sausages in gravy were delicious. The mashed potatoes were also good. Although I don’t usually like onions, I enjoyed these ones. You have got to try this.
