Saw the sign and had to try because we love fries!! The poutine was huge and AMAZING!! Tons of cheese and gravy and fresh cut fries. And we were given it for free because they had made an extra by mistake. Thanks Chip Pit, highly recommend!!

Chip Pit is a casual restaurant offering great food at reasonable prices, known for its delicious fries. Although there are no tables or chairs on-site, customers can opt for take-out and find picnic tables at the nearby municipal beach or Veterans memorial park, which is perfect for boating or fishing. Parking can get busy. The poutines are popular, with cheese curds and gravy added in the middle. Customers also love the homemade fries, hamburgers, chicken strips, fish and fries, hotdogs, and ice creams. The food is fresh and delicious, with friendly service. Note it's cash only, but there are nearby ATMs. Just down the hill is a beach and playground for kids. A great stop if passing through Cobden.
