We were so happy that Royal Jade was open for lunch on Saturday. The host was so friendly and answered all of our questions explaining how different dishes are prepared. The best dish was the fried pakoras in gravy. They taste like meatballs. My mango lassi was one of the best I’ve ever had unfortunately I didn’t get a good picture of it. The eggplant dish was also nice except we all thought it could’ve use maybe a bit more salt. The noodles were delicious but the meat was a bit dry and there was not enough shrimp. The mango salad was delicious and enough for three of us to get a good portion. This place is a hidden gem in the Keele and Steeles area and I will definitely return.

Since the past few months the quality and service is very bad. We always come here and the winter months it’s been really cold. The place needs a deep cleaning maybe a Reno, the atmosphere is 0. The new girl working there seems to be lost all the time. We always order the chicken Shanghai noodle which the kids like it’s never spicy…today they decide to make it spicy.

Charged me and my wife $6 for gratuity without telling us. Charging upfront fees for that for 2 people is uncalled for. Bad service. Worker was rude to me because i brought my own water bottle. Did not expect this from them. Wont be coming back.

My husband and I came here during the winter holidays right before attending a concert in Toronto and the food was amazing. The woman serving us was also super sweet and brought everything how we requested it. It’s been a long time since I’ve had Hakka this good! Thank you Royal Jade for a great first experience! (General Tao is worth it)
