Smoke and Mirrors Gastropub

What an amazing experience we had for our anniversary at this Gastropub. Unassuming from the outside but the food and service were exceptional.

We started with some fancy cocktails that had the perfect touch of class and theatrics. The lobster roll was stacked perfectly and the Frito Misto had a light batter that was one of the best we’ve had. I will not hesitate to order both again on my next visit. Our main pasta dishes were delicious and did not disappoint either as we had the Rigatoni Carbonara and the Ravioli Porcini and Tartufo. We ended with the Chocolate Lava Cake and the Chefs Famous Bread Pudding that were the perfect end to our meal.

Overall we had an amazing time and we’ll definitely be back. The table side service for the appetizers and desserts were a nice touch with the food being plated for you.

My husband and I dined with another couple last night and we were blown away by the service and yummy food. We were greeted and taken care of as soon as we arrived. Our waitress was was super friendly, so polite and very helpful all night. She even suggested a few items off-menu based on our cravings. After ordering they brought a plate of bread, parmigiano and olives to the table with olive oil and a deliciously sweet balsamic vinegar - they even refilled the bread without asking which was much appreciated. Then we were spoiled with a complimentary treat of a fig with balsamic glaze and a dollop of mascarpone - that was a nice surprise. By the time our mains came we were already getting full but we are it all up with gusto as everything was delicious! We had the nduja and burrata pizza, the potato truffle pizza, mushroom ravioli and prime rib - all were amazing. Even the desserts were fantastic! The coconut cream pie was my fave! Chef made an appearance at the end of the night which was so lovely. Genuinely wanted to know if we enjoyed and he had a massive smile on his face the whole time. It was a great experience. We will definitely be back!

I recently celebrated my birthday at Smoke and Mirrors, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional! From the outstanding service to the amazing food and drinks, everything exceeded my expectations. It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a great dining experience. This place is truly a hidden gem, and we’ll definitely be returning!

George and his team go out of their way to make you feel at home. OMG... the amount of shareable bread and olives and the complimentary Bruschetta that he sent out... wow. The high quality olive oil was amazing.

I am on an elimination diet so the fact that he could work with my dietary restrictions was special.

Its authentic Italian food. You can tell that the staff cares.

I also really like the cocktails and the "gatsronomy experience". He made some mocktails with the bubble maker for the kids and that was special for them.

Strong drinks, great apps... and the crab cakes and sea bass were unbelieveable! Go book.... you won't regret it!

We really enjoyed our visit here! Friendly and attentive staff, great food. Try the porcini mushroom and truffle ravioli (delicious). Ask about the gnocchi (which is not on the menu). Complementary bread, cheese and olive plate. Excellent value for the quality of food.

This Italian Gastro Pub is a MUST for any foodie!

Chef George and team are welcoming, accommodating, professional and so fun.

The food is always amazing from the appetizers (polenta fries and any of the salads are total 10/10). To thin crust pizzas and all the mains are fantastic but the real treat is to get any of the fish on the specials menu.

You must also save room for chef’s signature bread pudding or key lime pie.

If you have kids they will also love the fresh chicken fingers or my kids favourite Penne al a vodka.

Now for those who like a good cocktail they have any and everything that you could want the wines are yummy and they have fun spins on cocktails that also have bubbles infused with flavours.

Dietary restrictions: The team here is willing and able to accommodate many dietary restrictions you just need to tell them

Parking: Lots of parking directly in front of the restaurant but also in side and rear

Had to share my experiences that I’ve had at Smoke and Mirrors!This Italian Gastropub serves up some seriously delicious eats. The staff has always been extremely nice and welcoming when we have ate here and after being seated we are always greeted with unlimited bread, fresh cheese and olives to start! The service is definitely top tier (your glasses are always filled and they are always available to assist you to ensure the whole experience is nice for you and your table!).I’ve been a handful of times now and some of my favourite dishes are the pasta (ALL of them), short ribs, pizza and truffle fries! We always receive complimentary bruschetta as well which is such a nice touch. They also have the most unique and yummy cocktails - you name it and they can absolutely make it for you!Overall, this restaurant is really tight-knit and has a very nice inviting atmosphere. It’s also the perfect size for events if you have a special occasion to celebrate! Kid friendly restaurant as well !Also, the DESSERT! The chef’s creations are quite literally all perfection. Key lime pie, bread pudding, crème brulee and more. Pure bliss!Will definitely continue to visit and recommend this place ! 5 stars all around.
