Donlands Garden is alright, but the value is lacking. While the General Tao chicken had good flavor, it was quite dry. Additionally, the wonton soup portion felt far too small for the price point.
I got the general tso chicken and noodles - it tasted more like a dessert super sweet and the people need to go easy with the red food colouring crazy amounts of food colouring. Been throwing up and having diarrhea for the last 3 hours. I’m surprised this place is still up and running “YALL ARE GOING TO GET PEOPLE VERY SICK”. Where are the health inspectors they need to check out this place and see what goes on.

Very disappointed with this order. I ordered this via DoorDash. Multiple items were not fresh and appeared improperly prepared. The sweet and sour pork looked like plain meat with sauce poured on top rather than being cooked in the sauce. The honey garlic spare ribs were especially concerning — the meat was boiled, smelled bad, looked overcooked and soggy on the outside, yet undercooked inside. I couldn’t eat it due to food safety concerns. The spring rolls were also not fresh. The vegetables inside tasted stale and had an off flavour. This was not just a taste preference issue — the food smelled unpleasant and seemed unsafe to eat. I had to throw the food away. I would not recommend ordering from here based on this experience.

The food is horrible.
Salt & Pepper pork is absolutely horrible.
Pad Thai has no flavour
Thai chicken curry is water. Not a curry at all
They say crispy chicken wings but they are not crispy at all
Rice is flavourless!
Don’t order from here. It is not worth it.
Wonton soup has tooooooo much soya!
We were so looking forward to good food and are deeply disappointed at the quality and the fact that we spent so money on gross food!!

Got an Uber delivery and this was some of the worst canadian chinese food I have ever had. I was fooled into the buy 1 get one free offer. What a waste of almost $80 for the food.
I got 2 chicken fried rice. 2 chicken wings. 2 bok choys and 2 orders of spring rolls... $80. CRAZY.
RICE - tasteless. Had to throw all the soy sauce and pepper sauce on it. The WORST FRIED RICE I HAVE EVER HAD.
WINGS - completely flavorless and you can tell they do not change their frying oil as the wings had dark brown coloring. WORST WINGS EVER.
VEGGIES - how you mess you something so simple as bok choy is beyond me. They managed to do it. It was soggy and just not good.
SPRING ROLLS - these kinda saved the meal. They were decent but not anything special. Barely any filling just all wrapper.

Disappointed. Rice undercooked, gong bao chicken below average and mapo tofu had some weird meat pieces although it’s in vegetarian section and peas (!?).

“vegetarian” mapo tofu came with meat in it, and the steamed rice was undercooked. Very disappointing!

This is without a doubt the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever ordered from. I ordered the sweet and sour spare ribs and they came COVERED in batter. Never have I known Spare ribs to come with batter. It was so disgusting. Once I peeled off the batter (picture) I found that there was only about 5% pork left. So I paid $15 for some batter and NO meat. I can’t believe it. So they drench it in batter and make you pay the price as if you are getting meat. I also ordered the house special friend rice. Believe what the other reviews say about lack of flavour. There absolutely was none. Do not order from here. I feel annoyed that I paid $40 for food i ended up chucking out.

The food is what you would expect from a Chinese takeout spot. It can be inconsistent but overall still one of the better places in the Leaside/East York area

Product description lacking. Half and half. Gave me plain rice. Absolutely ridiculous. If you mentioned it was plain rice I wouldn’t have ordered. Smarten up
