Chubby's Fish N' Chips

Whatever you do. Do not buy this. I ordered on over eats. It’s atrocious. Oil slacked batter, almost no fish. It’s the worst I’ve ever order at home in close to 45 years of dish n chips.

How the d people are leaving positive reviews… I have no idea. Awful, stay away, save your money

I don’t leave bad reviews but this is appallingly bad.

Best fish and chips in the GTA hands down. If you haven't been here you need to stop in, you won't be disappointed.

Chubby's has been a favourite with us for over 20 years but the food they served us on October 26, 2024 was a disgrace. It wasn't me who did the pickup; I would have refused to take it. Apparently something was wrong with the deep fryer and the oil wasn't hot enough. The condition of the fries was proof that the oil wasn't even close to hot enough.

Shame on Chubby's for presenting food like that to customers.

Been going here for 30 years. Always hits the spot. Fish is fairly expensive but at least you know it’s always going to be good. Place needs a bit of an upgrade as it’s starting to feel a bit grimy. Side note: their homemade T-Rex burger is one of the best burgers in Toronto.

My husband introduced me to this place. It's under new ownership BUT be aware that the food is cooked EXACTLY THE SAME way as before. No complaints whatsoever. So yummy and decent pricing.

Ordered through Uber eats. It was possibly the worst food I've ever had. Had the fish and chips and felt like I just drank a cup of oil. Tasted of old grease and the batter's color was dark and bitter. I think if they changed the oil in their fryer more often it would improve the taste and presentation.

Great fish and chips!

Every time we come here the food is great and everyone is friendly. Love that all the magic of the fish and chips happens before your eyes, halibut and haddock both taste amazing. We’ll be back soon❤️??
