Went with a good buddy of mine and my 16yrs old son. Great service but even better wings!! I shall return! Thank you Henry the 8th Ale House!
A true hidden gem. Delicious food, friendly service and a pub atmosphere. This is one of my top go-to places in Toronto.
Nice spot for a drink
The place is nice and one server was very welcoming but the server for our table was terrible. I asked twice if we could order food and she look at me and turned away. Others at our table asked for food and were ignored. Others in the bar were being served food so the kitchen was open. Our server brought us one drink and then ignored us until, annoyed by the lack of service, we stood up and put our jackets on. We still had to wait for five minutes for her to come by and offer the cheque. There were only seven others in the pub so it was not busy. Our party included people who were servers at other restaurants and we could understand the lack of service. Do not recommend.
I appreciated the kind service. Went to have a pint of Guinness in honour of my late Dad who enjoyed the place. Cheers guys. Strongly recommend for the food.
Hits all the right spots!
Great 'real' pub in the Kingsway. Nice selection of drafts, good food. Service is attentive and friendly.
Great local pub for wings! Old school dimly lit pub - feels like you could be in England. Big window that opens fully at front of restaurant for a nice breeze in the summer. Wings are good!
Enjoyed my liver and onions with a pint of London pride. The fish and chips was also good. Good portions. Cozy pub. Great service.
Country steak was good.

Didn't know it was half price wing night when we decided to go but I had to give them a try and was glad ..
Mom had the mushroom burger and liked it too.
Had a pint too..
Nice place all around.
Great food & price.
Henry VIII is a great local pub on Bloor in Etobicoke. We have been before several times for the excellent beer selection and good food. We popped in one Tuesday evening hoping to get a bite and a drink. We were very pleasantly surprised to find they had a wing special on and an excellent selection of non-alcoholic beer alongside their regular selection, on top of all this they had a live band. The atmosphere was great, we went for some very tasty Belgian brews - very hard to find in the 0% alcohol section of any LCBO - and wings two ways with a side of fries to share - the wings are huge roasters and 1LB is what it says; enough to fill you up. They put a kind of sweet/ spicy dusting on the fries - we like it but if you don't be aware you can ask for yours plain! We'll be back
We saw they had oyster night on Wednesday's and decided we would try it out. We ordered 18 oysters and a basket of fries. The oysters were perfectly shucked, and the horseradish on the side was nice and spicey. All washed down with a couple of pints of 'London Pride', perfect. We got there at 6.30 and the place was packed. We'll worth a visit !
The jerk chicken wings and the snitchel were absolutely incredible
