The Pie Commission is amazing! I’ve had almost all of the savoury pies and each one has been so good (personal fave: pulled pork). Working my way through the sweet ones and so far so good! Can’t beat the convenience of picking up a hot reasonably priced meal on the way home. Or having pies in the freezer for when you don’t feel like cooking. Sooooo good!
I LOVE their butter crust so when I found out they were offering a pie making workshop, I jumped at the chance! Awesome workshop - learned how to make the crust to take home, made and brought home an apple pie plus they served some great treats for us. What a perfect evening!

Just participated in their first class offering - pastry making. It was fantastic! Michael our teacher was fantastic. The whole experience was so much fun and I got to take my pie home. I bought 5 pies (different flavours) around Christmas. They all popped out of their tins perfectly and were delicious (curry lamb and veg is my favourite). I recently bought another 5 and though still delicious, the crust completely stuck to the tins. The butter tarts are perfection!

Just one constructive suggestion, please address the issue of the bottom pastry crust stubbornly sticking to the aluminum foil container. Otherwise, you are Golden!!!

Amazing butter tarts but, their meat pies are also phenomenal. Loving the new location, as it’s a quick detour on my way to Pearson. There is a reason they won best butter tarts, I’ve tried a number of the past winners and these are better than them.

A friend told me about this store so I thought I’d try it. Good meat pie is hard to find. Supermarket pies have hardly any meat in them and it’s usually low quality. These pies had large chunks of meat in them very tender and tasty. The crust was flaky and buttery. Need to go back and get some more. Needed Google Maps to find the location though. Off of Evans avenue. Well worth it. Need to thank my friend for his recommendation.
