Fish and chips were delicious. Thick peices of fish. Nicely battered. 2 pieces. Nice presentation of food as well.

2 of us went for the 5.99 breakfast. Our total was 19.60 after tax, before tip.Breakfast was basic. 2 eggs, choice of 1 meat, home fries (no seasoning and slightly burnt and oily) and toast. Wasn't informed when ordering that my rye toast is a 50 cent upcharge.2.49 for a cup of tea and 2.45 for the worst coffee I have ever had in my life. I drank maybe 1/4 of it. So weak it could almost be called dish water. Warm water with cream that tasted slightly like coffee was in the same room when it was brewed.I dont think another meal will be had at 3 Jacks.

Friday morning special thought I would try it- a breakfast offer just under $6 included two eggs toast hash browns ( barely six tiny ones if lucky) and a choice of meat.. for this I chose ham. What baffles me is that what came to me look like a child's portion.. the ham was a thin as deli meat so I ordered an extra side for $4 ( bacon which came to me in three small pieces burnt black ).. what turned out to be a basic Fair breakfast to me was a "barely there breakfast" I had to pay $16 for that...from 5.99 ( approx) to 16$For the future.. please make sure price is proportion appropriateIf you're going to charge $16 for breakfast try this Ex: 10+ dollar breakfasts will get you two eggs ,toast( with jam or PB , real hash browns( or pancake) and TWO types of meat!!OrEx2: 2 eggs ,1 meat, 2 french toast or pancakes with coffee and a fruit cup.Haven't tried the rest of the menu yet ..but based on my breakfast. Not sure I want to.

We arrived just after 6:00 PM. After being sat, we gave our drink order 10 minutes into our visit (2 cans of pop and 1 glass of juice). 15 minutes later, they arrived. 5 minutes later, the waitress came and took our order, and she informed us that it would be 20 - 25 minutes to get our food. 45 minutes later, we watched people who came in 10 - 15 minutes after us and then placed their orders 10 minutes after that, getting their orders. My wife then set the timer on her phone. After a further 15 minutes, with still no food, I finally had enough waiting and told the waitress to cancel the order. She went to the kitchen and I heard her tell them to cancel the order, they told her that the order was nearly ready. After nearly an hour and a half, I had had enough and said cancel it. I went up to pay for the 2 Pops and 1 glass of apple juice and was appalled at paying $10.00 for them. This is the second, and last time I have tried this restaurant. In both cases, we were treated like third class citizens and made to wait for a long period to get our order. The first time, I wrote it off to their being newly opened, which was why I was willing to give them another chance. After this visit, I will never again darken their door.
