Nine of us went to Kelseys for my daughter's 18th birthday tonight. The restaurant was very accommodating for our last minute reservation. Our server, Alyssa S., was friendly and welcoming, super quick to take our order & bring out our food. The food was delicious as always. Overall the birthday was a big hit for everyone! Thanks Kelseys!!

she is the best server ever!

This visit was disappointing from the moment we walked in. We stood for several minutes with no greeting or acknowledgment. We were seated in a booth on the bar side, and I’m not sure if service there is usually different, but the whole experience felt rushed and impersonal.

Our server never introduced herself — I only learned her name (Louise) from the bill. When I ordered a Diet Coke and clarified that I planned to get the half-price wings deal, I think she misunderstood me and assumed I was being rude, even though that wasn’t my intention at all. From that point on, it genuinely felt like she didn’t want to serve us. The service became noticeably rushed and dismissive.

The food came out extremely fast, and it tasted like it — undercooked wings that were almost frozen inside, and a soggy poutine made mostly of tiny end-piece fries. My first fork even had residue on it. When we mentioned it, the server looked annoyed and replaced it without an apology. No drink refills, no check-ins, nothing.

What frustrates me most is that I’ve ordered the exact same wings at the Kelsey’s on Mississauga Road, and the service and quality there were WAY better. So I know this isn’t a Kelsey’s issue — it’s this location specifically.

To end the night, as soon as I finished eating, my plate was cleared and the debit machine was brought over immediately without asking if we were ready, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. It felt like we were being rushed out.

I still tipped because it’s the right thing to do — but honestly, after the experience we had, I shouldn’t have felt obligated to.

I wouldn’t return to this location, and based on how selective the service felt, I don’t think they’d care.
