The person that took my order seemed cold and dismissive. I ordered a drink and toastee. I gave a healthy tip to support a new business. My toastee was ready but i had to wait another 10 minutes for my drink. My toastee started off good but after a few bites became inedible. The chicken was like leather. Physically impossible. The drink that eventually came was good. The one who made my drink was very friendly and sweet, a stark contrast from who took my order.
My advice is to walk right past Tealive and enjoy the customer service and treats from Dao Café. Much better.
I contacted Tealive a week ago with no response so leaving a review to inform others😬✌🏽❤️

The bubble tea is so disappointing. I’ve tried it 4 times and it’s not consistent. The brown sugar boba was so low on brown sugar the drink was almost white. Other times they’ve put too much. The tapioca pearls are always overcooked and mushy. The regular fruit bubble tea menu is very limited - maybe 4 flavours. It’s never a consistent sweetness. Super sad about it since it is new. They obviously put in a ton of money to build this place and the tea menu and quality is a letdown. Maybe it will improve? The atmosphere of the place is great though. Very cute and the pastries are super pretty.

Went into your establishment today around 1240pm at 1930 innes rd Ottawa Ont. To only get ignored. After asking an employee if we could be served he said yes and walked away. We waited a few more minutes and still no one wanted to serve us. I wouldn’t let my wife buy anything and we left and went somewhere else. Very disappointed in the customer service.

There are actually 2 separate businesses in one room, Dao Cafe and TeaLive which use 2 separate orders and cashier's, a bit of a pain. If there was a lineup , you would have to lineup twice. We had pastries from both and they were great and a drink from TeaLive and it was also very good.

Love everything here about the decor, vibe, workers are friendly, food is great. Always busy on weekends and nice and quiet during the weekday mornings except every weekday night, it's packed. Great hang out place too
