We went to the Royal Oak for breakfast while visiting Ottawa during the Aug long weekend. There were 7 of us, and upon entering the restaurant, our server had water glasses for everyone, coffee pots ready. She was very efficient and ready for us. The food was very good and the service was great.

Great pub! Excellent live music, great food and drink selection. Wish a Guinness wasn't over $11 though. Still, a great night out.

Fish and Chips were amazing. A local dive bar filled with locals. Very quiet when we went. Waitress/Bartender was a bit rude to my spouse when she said she wouldn't take our orders until we both decided. It was just a stop for a nice lunch and a pint kind of deal. Will certainly not return.

Neighbourhood pub feel. Service is professional and high quality. A large variety of beer and scotch. A varied menu including pub fare, salads, entrees like salmon and fish & chips. “Regulars” make the place very friendly. Sports or major events are always on the large screen televisions. A regular “hang-out” for groups. Great pub to drop in for a drink, get take-out.
