I am a tea lover. For my birthday, my spouse and sister took me to the Bon Tea Place tea tasting workshop. Madeline is a Tea Master whose vast knowledge of the theory and practices of tea cultivation, selection, preparation, and everything in between made the afternoon a sheer joy. I have many dietary restrictions and she made the extra effort to serve food that I could eat and enjoy. I highly recommend this experience. So good for the soul
Madeline is awesome and her teas are, too. If you want good quality traditional teas from China, Japan & Taiwan, order your tea from her! And she can teach you a traditional tea ceremony.
I recently did a $20 tea ceremony demo at Bon Tea Place with my husband and a friend, and I was very happy with the quality we got out of our session. Madeline is friendly, and patiently explained each step of tea ceremony to us, and whenever we had questions for her she was very thorough in telling us the history and classifications of tea types. The snacks (home made by her daughter) was special too, and we felt very welcome there and learned a lot from our visit.

Good Tea Place is a tea studio with over 300 types of loose leaf tea. The space is beautiful, with a lovely owner who clearly cares about customers and helps with their selection. Madeline is incredibly kind and takes plenty of time to explain the background of many types of teas and make recommendations. She has great knowledge of teas that cure symptoms such as anxiety, fatigue or pain. All the teas are very high-quality and excellent. One favourite tea is Men Shiva, a non caffeinated tea that puts the mind in a state of calm, consciousness and balance. The care and attention to detail in the packaging and presentation is lovely. The experience is fantastic, and customers will be returning again for sure. Good Tea Place is highly recommended for a tea connoisseur or a fan of healthy beverages.
