While a nice change with the live music aspect, the over all experience was lacking and no where near almost a 5 star. The food did take a bit longer to come out than what we expected, however once we received it my partner felt almost rushed to finish his pizza as the server was asking regularly multiple times as to if he was finished, while he was trying to enjoy the music. As soon as he was finished, after we said we weren’t having dessert, our server was at our table with the machine & bill, even though we had a good quarter of a bottle of wine left. I had the pasta with braised beef cheeks, leeks & garlic, while decent, it wasn’t 5 Star worthy. It was ok. The presentation was dull & lacking. The bruschetta was the best part of the meal, the whipped goats cheese was definitely a different experience. Environment was a little cheesy - wasn’t really impressed with folding chairs at our table & others in our section…4.5 Star…don’t think so.

We went here as a party of 4 late on Friday night. To quote my friend when we sat down - “this is probably the classiest place to eat in Guelph.” Great atmosphere with an amazing live band. The owner even stepped up to sing for the whole crowd.
We started off with a Caesar Salad, which was made perfectly. The garlic sauce had a hint of vinaigrette. The Sonny Rollins pizza is A1 - a delicious, spicy treat topped with sausage and a honey glaze that you can share or tackle alone. We also enjoyed a cosmo cocktail with dinner, which was a generous size.
The one and only knock is that the service was a bit slow for us - but it was packed, so we forgave them.

We waited over an hour for our food. We didn’t notice it was taking a while because there was a live band playing so it wasn’t that bad but by the time we got our food we didn’t even want to eat anymore .
Our steaks came out over cooked and the managers did apologize and re made our steaks which then tasted great but by the time I got mine all my friends ate already and I just wasn’t in the mood to eat anymore .
The atmosphere is very nice and the customer service was good even tho the service was so slow .

Owners Maria & Darin are salt of the earth people always ensuring you enjoy your evening to the fullest. Lovely staff, great seasonal menus and an ambiance like no other with terrific lineup of jazz musicians each and every week. Keep up the great work and we will continue to support local.

We have been to Manhattans several times and it never disappoints. The food is amazing and the servers are outstanding. The owner always takes time to come talk to you and makes you feel welcome. Always a go to for us for a night out and we always introduce someone new to this place

My husband had sea bass, I had lamb chops, all delicious. The sauces with my lamb were so good. Dessert was great! Salads delicious. Terrific Date Night menu! Wine excellent. We will return.
Love this restaurant for so many reasons. Last night our table wasn't ready as soon as we entered, but the manager/owner took care of us like family while we waited for an additional 5-10 minutes. Our table was worth waiting for. Pizzas were all delicious with that touch of honey added mmmm. Alison was not our server as usual, but she made a point to come and chat with us and remembered all the details of our previous conversations. She is unbelievable! The music last night was fabulous and I now have a new favourite artist to follow on Spotify! Can't wait to go back!!!

This is our favorite restaurant and first stop anytime we visit from NY. We had a party of 14 and everything from the reservation process to the amazing service, outstanding entertainment and delicious food was truly the best!

Had an early dinner here and was very tasty. But portions are ridiculously small for the prices. Adult portion of Pasta is smaller than a kids portion and we went with 2 children so can verify that. Disappointed. Service and staff were perfect. Recommend doing a larger pasta portion or reduce your prices.
Fabulous atmosphere, attentive staff! Owner was exceptionally kind. My husband wanted the only two things they had run out of ( 9:00pm on a Saturday) brought my husband a beer, even though he was completely satisfied ordering the scallop ziti instead. And apologized on our way out again. Would recommend highly!! We had a Fabulous anniversary dinner! P.s. get the Nat king Cole pizza!!

Love the vibe; jazz trio was great! Apart from running out of mussels and Sea Bass, the food ( to be honest) was very average. Shared gnocchi and pizza along with an appetizer drinks and a bottle of wine. Service was slow (2 1/4 hrs) for 2. Dessert, sticky toffee pudding was again very average. Will try it again sometime.

Dining there last night was first rate on all counts. An exceptional experience. And the hosts, Marie and Darren, really know how to take care of their customers. It's definitely my go to restaurant in Guelph for 5-star treatment. I look forward to my next time. ?

We went with another couple and enjoyed the music of the trio. Pizza was delicious as was the salad. Scallop entree was tasty but only very few tiny scallops on the plate. Could have been served with some bread which would be nice. Mixed drinks were pricey and service was a little slow. On the whole it was ok and we will be back to try again.
