The wait staff was extremely rude. Slamming the dishes on the table on the place where we arenāt even sitting. As well as the staff taking our order seemed to somehow not understand us and not offer the full menu options to us when we ordered.
Replying to the comment here. I did not say we ordered from the table. We order at the register, sat down and the wait staff slammed the dish on the table. Yes it is the experience at this exact cafe. On top of that the veggie chilly was 90% beans, 3 pieces of corns, didnāt even had decency to remove the jalapeno stems.

The 'new' Planet Bean on Wyndham is pretty darn good! Coffee is excellent - a truly authentic Cortado and even the decaff is excellent. Food wise I've tried the breakfast sandwich twice as it was so good - tons better than anywhere else I've tried in Guelph. It even beats Evergreen senior centre (yes you read right) who do a yummy breakfast sarnie as well. Service wise it's good and friendly and the coffee comes quickly but you do have to wait for freshly cooked food - not a bad thing eh! Oh and the venue is a great improvement on the previous over-spaciousness. Still have the mini library shelf though. Keep it going PB. Definitely one of the best in Guelph.

I donāt normally give negative reviewsā¦and I am hoping that with more training that the food and coordination of service improves. I was once a regular at the original Planet Bean. I ordered breakfast and some baking. I only ate the two small pieces of bacon (which were tasty), the very dry, small serving of flavourless, cold āscrambled eggsā and I could not eat any of the $4.00 cold, hard, unseasoned potato wedges. There was no salt or pepper visibleā¦I was too tired to get up and ask..after 3 trips to the till and counter just to get our order and pay the bill. The baking was overrated as local and high quality ingredientsā¦at $5.00 per small muffin..and a lemon square with a rock hard bottom crustā¦another $5.00. When I needed sugar and cream for tea and coffeeā¦they had run outā¦and did not know where there as sugar ā¦I spotted a bowl of sugar on their inside counterā¦and then I used it ā¦.The tea and coffee were good, once we found the cream and sugar!! Overall it as a disappointing experience. At the till, the cashier and the ācookā were not able to clarify the billā¦it took a full 5 min. to get to an agreement. I would recommend that they get an experienced manager and cook to train the staff. Without this, I fear their food options may put people off. I really hope this place will improveā¦so that I can enjoy being a regular customer. The young women at the till was friendly and kind.

A great spot for coffeeābright and cheerful atmosphere. The iced coffee was amazing, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a bit costly, but overall a nice experience.
So glad Planet Bean is open again! But when I walked in the vibe is a little stark? Grey and white walls? No plants? Hoping to see some life injected into this local institution. The addition of a breakfast and lunch side kitchen is smart with the train station and City Hall nearby. I had the ciabatta breakfast bun - good! Could use tomato and lettuce though. Hoping for good things from Planet Bean!

I am not usually one to write reviews but with this location reopening, I had to share my feedback. I asked for a bagel with cream cheese & butter and this is what I received. After leaving, I went BACK to ask for more cream cheese and this was the āmore cream cheeseā given to me. The shop was very dark, not many lights on to give it a warm & welcoming ambiance. A bit disappointed to learn that the owners were also present while this occurred and didnāt really seem to care. We were very excited to see that this location was reopening but to be honest, we wonāt be back. I think they rushed the opening and sadly did not execute.

Let this be a warning to NOT order anything from planet bean website. I ordered on Nov 11 and my package hasnāt even been shipped yet. Reached out and was told two weeks ago that it would arrive by end of week, yet still not even shipped. I understand that back orders and things happen, but nothing was ever communicated to me and Iāve had to reach out twice now to see what is going on. Really disappointing experience, will not shop here again
