We all camr by for late lunch. Had bacon wrapped scallops, pork bites, nachos, and beef poutine. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend this place to others.

The judge is an institution in downtown Hamilton. Great food, better service, and lots of seating between up and downstairs.
I get over as often as I can, especially on Fridays when the fish and chips is on for only $12.

it’s been long enough that i feel safe enough to leave this. we came by in the summer. service was so bad. server was a super rude woman. that’s why i was scared to leave this. our table was crusty and dirty, white stuff on our chairs too (very sus). my partner ordered a simple burger and instead was served the most expensive one. our server dropped the food off and ran away so we couldn’t mention anything. we were charged for it. it literally tasted like nothing. i got fish and chips and they tasted like nothing as well. portions were so tiny
surprised this place has such good reviews. if u want expensive bland food and bad service i’d come here.

We head to The Judge a couple times a year, and we are never disappointed. If you haven't been here since it was The Winking Judge, definitely check it out again! It changed owners a number of years back, and they now focus on the food as much as the drinks. The menu has expanded far beyond the basic bar classics that it was limited to before. I highly recommend the falafel wrap and the chicken tikka masala poutine. The beer selection is great, the food is always tasty, and the atmosphere is cosy and comfortable. We've always had great service too!

We come here regularly. Always friendly service. Nachos were amazing. Very flavourful kettle chips, actually comes with guac as opposed to having to pay extra for it. And those candied jalapenos were heavenly.
