I had the pleasure of trying their delicious pizza and absolutely decadent cheesecake, and both were unforgettable! The pizza was perfectly crafted, with rich, flavorful ingredients, and the cheesecake was the perfect indulgent treat to complete the experience.
Beyond the amazing food, their service was equally impressive—warm, attentive, and professional. They went above and beyond to contribute to the success of the shoot, and their attention to detail and dedication really shone through.

A nice pleasant casual atmosphere with good variety of Italian food. Unfortunately there were a few issues with the food. Mostly quite tasty but the lobster ravioli was way over salted and the branzino was over cooked and tough. The mushroom soup however was excellent! The staff were lovely and very attentive for sure!

First time here and the service and food was amazing. Chicken parm, branzino and orzo pasta and my husband doesn’t eat much so he had garden salad and potato leek soup. We all enjoyed our very generous meals and our waiter Justin gave us great service . We will be back

I took my parents for dinner last night and we all loved it. The staff were super friendly, especially the hostess and our server Justin. I had the Branzino and I highly recommend it. My dad had the garden salad and potato leek soup, and my mom had the chicken parm. The serving sizes were very generous. We will definitely go back.

Sorry. I’m sorry. But this is not real, or good Italian food. It tasted like bland leftovers from someone who is not a chef, just cooking at home and certainly not Italian. Also, the lights are just a tad too bright: a dimmer would help.

Our family dined at Cavallo Nero in Ancaster last evening, and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant, which has been around for a few years, is now under new management—and it shows in the quality of the food and service. We started with appetizers including bruschetta, calamari, and warmed olives. Each dish was absolutely delicious and set the tone for a wonderful meal. I ordered the chicken piccata with spaghettini and a side of grilled brussel sprouts, which was cooked to perfection. The service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend Cavallo Nero for a great dining experience!
