I checked out Cowbunga after hearing about their award-winning pizza, and I can see why there’s so much buzz. I ordered the Margherita pizza, and it was genuinely delicious, the crust was perfectly crispy and had that satisfying crunch, and you could tell it was made with care. It’s a simple, classic pizza, but it was executed really well, which says a lot about the quality of the place.
I also tried the Lemon Pepper Plus boneless bites. The chicken was juicy and crisp, not soggy at all, but the flavour itself was just okay, nothing special. I wish they offered a wider variety of flavours for the bites since the texture was great. The restaurant wasn’t crowded when I went, and there was plenty of seating, which made the experience comfortable and relaxed. The service was quick and friendly, and the staff member I spoke to was super nice and gave great suggestions.
Fun fact — Cowbunga actually won “Best Cheese Slice in the World” at the International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas, which definitely caught my attention and made me want to try it in the first place!
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The Margherita pizza was the star of the meal, and I can’t wait to try their other pizza flavours. If I’m ever in Hamilton again, I’ll definitely stop by for another slice.

I came here with friends during a day trip from the GTA because we read online that this was ranked one of the best pizza spots on the planet.
Well, I came and it definitely wasn’t. I had better pizza at Pizza Hut.
It wasn’t bad at all though. We got a few different pizzas, and it was pretty good actually. The all veggie with one the broccoli and all wasn’t good at all. The cheesy one was super good. It was a bit steep in expenses but the outdoor patio was nice and the patrons were very attentive and helpful to us. Orders came after about 35 minutes or so because it was being made fresh.
Would I come back? Probably not, but it’s not bad food. It’s just not that out of this world good either.
Delish slices and the house-made dip was fantastic! Quick service, staff were friendly, defs worth it!!

This place won the award for World’s Best Pizza. We went because we were curious to see if it lived up to the hype. Honestly? I’m not sure if it was the world’s best, but it was pretty damn good. Well cooked crispy crust (not a dump of all encompassing dough like most pizza places these days) that actually tasted good, perfectly seasoned tasty sauce and fresh melted cheese. We had the ‘Our Marg’ pizza, which was topped with their jalapeño pesto. Yummmm
Definitely recommend.
Special note: Their server, Alessia, was so sweet. She had great recommendations to accommodate our dietary needs (we are vegetarian). She was friendly and genuine enough to give us legit recommendations after she asked us what our plans were for the rest of the day. Kudos to Cowabunga for hiring decent people when the world has so little to offer for free anymore.
Tried Cowabunga Pizzeria and it honestly blew me away. We ordered the Cowabunga, 1UP, Our Marg, and Waffle Fries, everything was absolutely delicious.
The pizzas had the perfect crust light, crispy, and full of flavor. You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients, and every bite tasted incredible.
The 1UP was my favorite the flavors and truffle finish were next level. Even the waffle fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned.
If you’re in or visiting Hamilton, you have to try this place. Amazing food, great vibe, and consistent quality. Easily a 10/10 experience!
Best pizza in all of Hamilton by far hands down and I know people will argue this 🤣 really Hamilton has a lot of good spots, but this one is my personal favorite

We stopped by here and picked up a couple of slices. Took some time to get them warmed up. Absolutely delicious pizzas! I will make my way back here from Toronto to have them again! Tried the pepperino+ and cheese pizzas. Their by the slice options run out pretty quickly and had limited options.
