LOVE LOVE LOVE the mimosa flights. Thought they were so cute and unique flavors. Went for a birthday breakfast with my sister and partner who aren't vegan. My sister got the cauliflower wings and avocado toast. She said the toast was quite chewy and the wings weren't great. My boyfriend got the democracy breakfast and said the toast wasn't great either but the rest was pretty good! I got the just eggs Benny, which was pretty good overall but was really cold. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the portions are large and fairly priced.

Well, after ordering our food and sitting down, I really wanted to give them a terrible review, and here is why. When we sat down, we could not believe how dirty this place was, our table and the floor all around had dirt and crumbs from previous patrons. We did move to a less dirty table, it was still not clean and certainly far dirtier than any business offering food should be. But the food was absolutely incredible. We had coffees, which was quite strong, but definitely very good quality coffee, then we shared the Avocado BLT and it was amazing. The freshness of the ingredients and the fantastic flavours and taste forced me to change my opinion of this place.GO for the food, but maybe bring a few wipes for the table.

Love the environment, price and menu selection. The button concept is cool but I don't think many disadvantaged people would wander down locke to a vegan cafe. I had a perogie pizza which wasn't my cup of tea but it was still filling!...Had a wrap recently; the pita bread was very stiff but the rest of it was alright. My partner had something yummy and they comped me without asking so it balanced everything outAll day breakfast bagel great as well.

Lovely atmosphere and amazing friendly service. The vegan grilled cheese was alright. The chocolate zucchini muffin was astonishing. Looking forward to trying some different menu options next time.

I don't recommend going here if you're lactose intolerant. I ordered my drink with oat milk and it was made with cow's milk instead, and when I brought it back to the barista they refused to remake it or refund me. Not worth the stomachache:).

The person at the counter was quite cold and short with us !! The Atmosphere was not very pleasant since it was FREEZING in that room !!Dietary restrictions: I would suggest reading the ingredients on such products as Just Eggs because I read it has MALTODEXTRIN in it !
Today was a miss with a crunchy, flavorless- unripened tomato in the middle of the BLT. Threw me off.Stay away from the fries supreme. Burned a hole in our stomach

Hands down, best coffee shop in the Hammer and I’m a self-professed coffee snob! Many great independent cafes in Hamilton, but Democracy is my number one go to.
While preparing to open our new store in this city, our boss took us out for lunch, and we were pleasantly surprised by our experience! Good food, fast service, large portions, and all vegan! The crew of Apothecary Of Crystals @ 78 George Street will definitely be back. Thank you!
