I'm from out of town and this was my first visit to Democracy, and I was really impressed. I had the Beyond Meat burger with a side of fries, and it was all very, very good. The service was excellent, and I thought the prices were perfectly reasonable. Locke Street is a great place to eat in Hamilton, with plenty of choice. It's not free parking, but on-street and plenty of it, all close by.I'm looking forward to my next visit, whenever that may be...
Nice chill atmosphere. Lots of students and younger demographics. Pastries were pretty good as well as the coffee. You have to ask the staff for a mug, otherwise the default is a paper cup (yet they only have 1 tiny trash bin). The cashier was kinda cold and didn't make any eye contact, like we were bothering him. Other staff were friendly
